When KindBuys first started, it was actually just a browser extension, there was no shop at all!
The dream for KindBuys was always to make conscious consumerism easy. The goal is, while viewing any product on any website, to open the browser extension and receive insight into the product's ethics and sustainability. We do this by displaying the product's third party sustainable and ethical certifications, and enabling the user to see what those certifications mean.
We currently have this feature working on a few major retail websites (Walmart, Amazon, Target, and a few others) for a small set of products, but we are working to expand both our retail website support as well as the products in our database.
It's an arduous road forward, as the data is scattered and sometimes hard to verify, but we are determined! We'd love your support as well as any feedback or ideas you may have. We have very limited resources here at KindBuys, so any commission that we receive when you purchase from the KindBuys shop goes first into making our software better, and then into charitable donations.
