Sun Produce Co-op

Sun Produce Cooperative was started by a group of farmers in Arizona to increase the viability of small-acreage farms, expand access to fresh, healthy, locally produced food, and transform Arizona's food system. By coordinating production, aggregation, and distribution, they are able to supply a greater variety and volume of products, open new market opportunities, and benefit from shared branding, marketing, and economies of scale. Buyers can choose from products that are Certified Naturally Grown, USDA Organic, regenerative, pesticide free, hydroponic, aquaponic, and wild harvested. Sun Produce supplies families, schools, hospitals, farmers markets, restaurants, independent grocers, and wholesalers. They work with partners to serve low income and nutritionally at-risk communities. Sun Produce is structured as a multi-stakeholder cooperative and includes producer, distributor, buyer, and market specialist members. They are part of Arizona Food Systems Network.


Sunrise Farms

Sunrise Farm is an organic demonstration farm situated on top of a hill in the center of Nuwara Eliya town. This area of Sri Lanka is known for its heavy agrichemical use. The master farmer behind Sunrise Farm specializes in compost production and spent the first year of operation rebuilding the soil. They now produce organic upcountry vegetables, herbs, lavender, and strawberries and are verified under an organic participatory guarantee system (PGS). Sunrise Farm provides organic training, apprenticeship, and consulting services.


Sunrise Senior Foundation

Sunrise Senior Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that aims to serve elders in Sri Lanka through forums, gatherings, charitable services, and a magazine. The magazine includes profiles of inspiring senior citizens and information on healthy living, medical care, financial planning, relevant policy issues, accessible public spaces, service providers, gardening, humor, and more.


Sunshine Superfood

Sunshine Superfood focuses on making nutritious, plant-based whole food alternatives more accessible. They prioritize local, home grown, and organic ingredients and ensure that all food options are vegan, gluten free, and refined sugar free. Popular products include granola, pancake mix, muffin mix, vegan egg replacer, and a range of healthy drinks, spreads, and sauces. In Sri Lanka, the term "superfood" is often used for imported ingredients like goji berries and chia seeds. Sunshine Superfood raises awareness about locally available superfoods like kasa kasa and gotukola. They minimize environmental impact by avoiding animal products, collecting back glass containers for sterilization and reuse, and offering locally made beeswax wraps as an alternative to plastic cling wrap.


Suntribe Sunscreen

Suntribe offers a new generation of natural sunscreen that protects the environment and your skin. Conventional sunscreens contain ingredients that are known hormone disruptors and carcinogens. When these chemicals enter the ocean, they bleach coral reefs and damage marine life. Suntribe uses safe, natural, and organic ingredients. Their product line was developed by scientists, surfers, and outdoor enthusiasts to provide effective, long-lasting SPF 30 protection.


Super Creamy Natural

Super Creamy Natural produces affordable natural ice cream, vegan ice cream, and yogurt made from local ingredients like coconut, jackfruit, anoda, and laulu. Their packaging is made from compostable and reusable materials. Single serving ice cream is sold in terracotta clay pots. Super Creamy Natural employs women from disadvantaged backgrounds and contributes 10 percent of profits to a women's organization.


Superfoodio

Superfoodio creates plant-based snacks that are made from simple, natural ingredients with no refined sugar or palm oil. Their vegan peanut butter chocolate bars contain up to 18 grams of plant-based protein, are handmade in a local facility, and are wrapped in recyclable packaging. A percent of profits from each purchase is donated to Oarsome Chance, a charity that supports disadvantaged youth in the United Kingdom. Superfoodio is part of the Impact Hub King's Cross Feeding the City program.


SUPer Juice Bar & SUPer SUP Unawatuna

SUPer Juice Bar & SUPer SUP Unawatuna specializes in fresh juices, smoothies, and healthy food made with local produce and superfood supplements from around the world. They also offer stand up paddleboard lessons and rentals at affordable rates. The SUPer team is passionate about environmental responsibility. They have worked to eliminate single use plastics and reduce waste. They partner with the Thalpe Recycling Centre, organize beach and sea clean-ups, and support local environmental initiatives. Their furniture and signboards are handmade by local craftspeople using upcycled and repurposed waste materials.


Supersun

Supersun is a brand under Sujan International, a HACCP certified Sri Lankan company dedicated to vegetarianism. They educate consumers about the health and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet and produce healthy, nutritious convenience foods to make it easier for people to transition. Under the Supersun brand, Sujan offers a range of veggie burgers, sausages, hot dogs, and other protein-rich vegetarian and vegan products.


Superyard

Superyard provides a sustainable construction marketplace for Australia to drive responsible business practices, benefit communities, minimize waste, and contribute to a circular economy. Their platform makes it easy to buy and sell unused construction materials including equipment, scaffolding, formwork, timber, steel, water tanks, interior fit-outs, and building supplies. Superyard helps businesses manage surplus stock, source materials for new projects, and redistribute excess materials to charities to meet community needs. They educate the construction sector on sustainable practices and advocate for a circular economy. Superyard is a Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise and a member of Boomerang Labs, Planet Ark, and the Infrastructure Sustainability Council.

SupplyCompass

SupplyCompass aims to transform the fashion industry by digitizing global supply chains and making sustainable sourcing the fastest, most efficient, and most cost effective option. Their cloud-based platform enables brands and manufacturers to produce better, together. Fashion and homeware brands can manage the entire product development, sourcing, and production process, from design right through to delivery, all in one place. SupplyCompass offers online guides and resources on how to develop ethical, transparent supply chains and source sustainable materials. Many of the participating suppliers and manufacturers are certified by accredited bodies or receive regular third party audits. They are also visited, vetted, and assessed by the SupplyCompass team.


Sureeli: The Pahadi Doll

Sureeli dolls celebrate the fearless, strong, and hard working Pahadi women of Uttarakhand. The dolls are handmade by a community of local women from natural bhimal fiber and upcycled waste fabric. Sureeli was started to support alternative livelihoods, self expression, and cultural pride for non-traditional artisans. They pay fair wages and operate as a not-for-profit social enterprise. Sureeli is part of the Creative Dignity movement.


Surya Lanka

Surya Lanka is a woman-led family farm in the Uva Province of Sri Lanka that focuses on organic pepper and compost production. They preferentially employ local young people who were not able to finish their studies. Surya Lanka is verified under an organic participatory guarantee system for their farm products. They also supply unrefined local cane sugar.


Surya Shri

Surya Shri offers Ayurvedic treatments, supplements, and scrubs to support health and wellbeing and create economic opportunities in Sri Lanka. Products are made from natural, locally sourced ingredients. They plan deliveries to minimize environmental impact and collect glass packaging for sterilization and reuse. Surya Shri donates two percent of all sales to support underprivileged communities.


Sustainabil.IT

Sustainabil.IT uses the power of cybersecurity and information technology (IT) for operational strength and positive environmental impact. They work with clients to assess compliance levels for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targets, IT and operational technology architecture, and cybersecurity, integrate software for real-time ESG and decarbonization reporting, procure ESG-approved IT licenses and hardware, and manage IT hardware lifecycles through recycling, upcycling, or responsible waste disposal. Their software and services help companies meet reporting mandates for carbon emissions, ESG, governance, risk, and compliance. Sustainability Hub Sri Lanka

Sustainability Hub Sri Lanka was founded in 2013 to create awareness, facilitate change, and support networking between change-makers. The Hub is a platform for sustainable development information, communication, and exchange in Sri Lanka. Sustainability Hub members participate in a curated Facebook group, meet ups, talks, trips, and other events related to sustainable development.


Sustainablee

Sustainablee offers a curated collection of environmentally responsible upcycled, reusable, and natural products from local small-scale enterprises and rural producer groups. Their product range includes upcycled notebooks, stationery, saree bags, and table mats, beeswax paper, essential oils, and deodorant crystals. Sustainablee works with the Eco-Friendly Volunteers (ECO-V) network to support environmental conservation and raise awareness regarding conscious consumption.


Sustainable Exchange

Sustainable Exchange is a locally owned store in downtown Novato that makes "delightful, affordable and sustainable" goods available and accessible to all. They offer a bulk refill station for natural hair, body, and home care and a unique selection of sustainably sourced food, clothing, accessories, home goods, and gear. Sustainable Exchange researches every product that comes into the store and offers a range of local, fair trade, organic, cruelty free, vegan, and zero waste options. They donate to local environmental action groups and use their platform to raise environmental awareness.


Sustainable Future Group

Sustainable Future Group (SFG) provides verification, validation, and assurance services to private sector organizations in the Asia Pacific region that place environmental sustainability at the forefront of their businesses. They offer product and organizational certifications for carbon, water, waste, and biodiversity. SFG is accredited by Natural Capital Partners to offer CarbonNeutral certification and by the International Accreditation Forum to offer ISO 14064 certification for greenhouse gas emissions and removals. While SFG primarily serves large clients, they also offer customized services for small businesses. They are members of the Institute of Environmental Professionals.
