Women In Travel Collective

Women in Travel Collective provides a supportive community for women in Sri Lanka’s travel and tourism sector and works to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and promote inclusivity in the travel industry. They offer a platform where women can connect, be inspired by empowering stories, stay updated, and access webinars, events, mentorship programs, and training. Women in Travel is a member of Good Travel Global.


Women in Work

Women in Work delivers mobile childcare services for organizations that support parents and families and provides meaningful and flexible first-time employment for migrant and refugee women as childcare educators. Their educators travel to venues across Metropolitan Melbourne and care for children of all ages so that parents can focus on accessing essential programs and services, including legal appointments, health information sessions, family violence support, and education and training opportunities. Multilingual services are available for families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Women in Work employs childcare-certified migrant and refugee women who are experiencing barriers to employment and provides on-the-job training, professional development, wraparound support, and pathways into permanent work. They are a Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise and a member of Social Enterprise Network Victoria (SENVIC). Women in Work operates under Whittlesea Community Connections, a not-for-profit community organization founded in 1973. All surplus is reinvested towards their mission.


Women.lk

Women.lk is a not-for-profit initiative started by the Centre for Humanitarian Affairs to provide economic opportunities for rural women in Sri Lanka. Funds for Her is a crowdfunding campaign to support women-led startups, Jobs for Her helps women find flexible employment opportunities, and Business for Her provides branding, marketing, legal, financial, and other business development services. Popular products developed through Women.lk services include garlic pickles and lunu dehi lime pickles.


Women's Bean Project

Women's Bean Project changes women’s lives through transitional employment and empowers them with the stepping stones to self-sufficiency. Their food manufacturing social enterprise hires women who have struggled with chronic unemployment. Program participants receive full-time pay as they develop job readiness skills, discover their talents, and strengthen their confidence through on-the-job training, life skills classes, case management, and career service assistance. At the end of seven months, they graduate into an entry-level, career-building job. Ninety-five percent are still employed one year after graduation and are able to support themselves and their families and serve as role models for future generations. Women's Bean Project specializes in dried bean soup and chili mixes, instant rice and bean cups, spice blends, baking mixes, and natural snacks. Their products are sold online and in 1,000 stores throughout the United States. Women's Bean Project is registered as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization and is part of many networks including the Colorado Nonprofit Association, Community Shares, Social Enterprise Alliance, REDF, and Stand Together.


Women's Mentoring Foundation

Women's Mentoring Foundation (WFM) fosters mental health and wellbeing, combats harmful and abusive behavior, and helps culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women and young people in Australia heal from hurt, distress, grief, and trauma. They offer crisis support services, peer mentoring and counseling, suicide prevention education, behavioral pattern prevention, bereavement support groups, information and referral services, and other adaptive initiatives. Programs are designed to help diverse women and youth rebuild their self-leadership, identity, confidence, and focus, and improve their mental, emotional, physical, and social wellbeing. Women's Mentoring Foundation engages in pro bono work and regularly donates a percentage of profits to support social and environmental causes. They are a Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise and a member of the Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC).


Wonder Boxes

Wonder Boxes makes wooden crates from upcycled shipping pallets with a focus on reducing waste and resource consumption. Their basic sizes can be combined to make versatile furniture, shelving, and storage containers. They also do custom designs for home or business requirements. Wonder Boxes allocates two percent of profits to a fund to support people in need.


Wonderland

Wonderland aims to increase food security and nutrition in Africa through sustainable agricultural practices. They promote vertical farming and other techniques to produce affordable, nutritious food for low income urban and surburban families. Wonderland is committed to organic principles, consumer health and safety, good working conditions, and environmental conservation.


Wonder Liberia

Wonder Liberia is a volunteer-led community initiative to eradicate hunger and increase access to opportunities for less privileged Liberians. They organize local book drives for school children, support education initiatives, and provide skill training and professional development for young people in low income neighborhoods. Wonder Liberia focuses on skills like baking, tailoring, cosmetology, graphic design, and IT services that can lead to self-sustaining local enterprises.


Wood Belt

Wood Belt produces belts and bags from sustainably sourced materials, creates livelihood opportunities for artisans and people with disabilities in Slovenia, and contributes to the impact fashion movement. Their belt buckles are made from locally sourced wood offcuts, and their belts are made from cork, vegetable tanned leather, recycled leather, cotton, hemp, and NUO wood textiles. They offer customizable modular designs and a Together Forever repair service. Wood Belt donates one euro from every sale to environmental conservation and restoration in national parks. Profits are used to provide training and employment to underserved groups in Slovenia.


Woodella

Woodella creates unique handpainted wooden jewelry that is made to last. They specialize in designs inspired by nature and Sri Lankan culture. Woodella uses sustainably sourced wood and nontoxic paints and finishes.

Good Market is a curated platform that brings together people creating a better world. All of the vendors on the site have been through an application and review process to ensure they meet Good Market standards and are good for people and good for the planet.


WOO World of Oils

WOO World of Oils offers organic, fair trade, cold-pressed botanical oils to nourish the skin, hair, nails, and body and uplift global communities. They source argan oil from Morocco, rosehip oil from Chile, apricot oil from India, and blue tansy oil from Türkiye. Their multipurpose oils are vegan, cruelty-free, and packed in lightweight, recyclable tin cans with a flip-top design to prevent spills. WOO World of Oils partners with producer communities that prioritize fair wages, ethical practices, and sustainable farming. This includes a group of Adivasi tribal women from the Araku Valley in southeast India and Coopérative Akkain Ouargane, a women's farming cooperative in Morocco. WOO World of Oils is a member of Fair Trade Los Angeles and Pact Collective.


Worga Naturals

Worga Naturals grows, processes, and supplies organic certified fruit and spices. They source raw materials from their own organic farms and from a network of more than 1,000 families with small-scale organic fruit farms. More than 2,800 acres is currently under organic certification. Products include organic dehydrated mango, pineapple, banana, papaya, ripe jackfruit, and soursop, fruit pieces in juice, fruit pulps, purees, juices, and flours, jackfruit seed flour, tapioca flour, king coconut water, green pepper, young jackfruit, and shredded banana blossom in brine, black pepper, and ginger. Worga Naturals primarily employs women from the surrounding area and funds fair trade initiatives for employees and farmers. They have EU Organic, USDA Organic, JAS Organic, Naturland, and Fair Trade Sustainability Alliance certification.


Work Consultancy

Work Consultancy fosters professional, corporate and social development in Barbados by helping people secure purposeful jobs. They offer a range of services for job seekers including career coaching, CV reviews and revamps, job search and job application assistance, interview preparation, and contract reviews. Work Consultancy partners with businesses, social service organizations, and community groups to offer webinars on personal and professional development. They also work with universities and colleges to deliver a Professional Development Programme that pairs students with mentors in their field of interest and coordinates paid internships. For secondary students, they organize Careers of the Future events to raise awareness of new career opportunities in areas like fintech, aquaponics, and social entrepreneurship. They are currently creating a virtual student development network called Thrive. Work Consultancy is part of the Queens Commonwealth Trust Network and MovingWorlds.

The site has the most comprehensive and up-to-date database of classes, gyms, physiotherapists, spas, healthy food outlets, outdoor activities, and other resources for an active lifestyle in Sri Lanka.


World Cup Cafe and Fair Trade Market

World Cup Cafe and Fair Trade Market was started to bring economic development and job opportunities into North Waco, create a place where people of all different backgrounds can gather, and provide living wages to workers and artisans around the world. The cafe offers breakfast, lunch, and desserts, and the market offers fair trade coffee, tea, chocolate, personal care, accessories, housewares, toys, and more. World Cup is part of Mission Waco, a not-for-profit organization that also oversees Jubilee Food Market, a not-for profit grocery store, Urban Reap, a garden center and aquaponic facility, and The Clothesline, a secondhand clothing store. World Cup is committed to "360 degree fair trade," which means being fair and responsible in everything they do, socially, economically, and environmentally. They form long-term, holistic partnerships, use compostable bags and takeaway containers, source vegetables from Urban Reap, compost their food waste, share their meeting spaces, host art workshops, maintain a lending library, provide educational talks on fair trade topics, and contribute any surplus to Mission Waco community programs. World Cup is a member of the Texas Community Development Network, Waco Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, and Fair Trade Federation.


World Fair Trade Organization

The World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) is a global membership organization that works for a sustainable and fair global economy. Members include producers, marketers, exporters, importers, wholesalers and retailers that demonstrate 100% commitment to Fair Trade and apply the 10 WFTO Principles of Fair Trade to their supply chain. WFTO’s mission is to enable producers, especially small farmers and artisans, to improve their livelihoods and communities through Fair Trade. The global office coordinates membership applications, the WFTO Guarantee System, World Fair Trade Day celebrations, international conferences, campaigns, advocacy work, market access training and opportunities, and the exchange of innovative ideas and best practices.


World Farmers Markets Coalition

World Farmers Markets Coalition brings together farmers markets from around the world to support each other and share best practices and innovations. They aim to cultivate a community of practice that benefits farmers, consumers, communities, and the environment. The Coalition focuses on markets that are managed, happen on a recurring basis, have clearly defined and publicly stated rules, prioritize transparency and direct sales, and include vulnerable and marginalized groups. They showcase members, facilitate "sister market" relationships, and organize campaigns and events. The WorldFMC Academy will include on-demand recorded courses, interactive live-streamed workshops, affinity groups, and a library of resources shared by members. World Farmers Markets Coalition operates as a not-for-profit membership organization.


WorldFinds

WorldFinds offers handmade accessories and empowers women in marginalized artisan communities through fair trade. They work with artisan partners in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh to create jewelry, pouches, bags, and housewares from wood scraps, upcycled cotton sari and kantha quilts, repurposed Kutch embroidery, and brass. WorldFinds maintains long-term fair trade relationships based on mutual respect, shared decision-making, living wages, healthy and safe working conditions, and environmental sustainability. They invest in artisan community projects, maintain a Girls Education Fund for the children of artisan partners, and create cause bracelets to mobilize resources for nonprofits working on specific issues. WorldFinds is a Fair Trade Federation Verified Member, a Green America Gold Business Member, and a Chicago Fair Trade Business Member.


World of Ikat

World of Ikat was started to preserve India's textile heritage, empower artisans from marginalized communities, and promote zero waste fashion. They specialize in tops, kurtas, dresses, bags, and accessories made from handloom cotton, ikat, and block print textiles and azo-free dyes. World of Ikat partners with cooperative societies and independent master weavers, pays fair living wages, and provides training, design interventions, market access, and sustained work opportunities. They offer inclusive sizing and create products to be multi-functional and long-lasting. Textile waste is upcycled into fabric jewelry and cloth bags for packaging. World of Ikat has Craftmark and PETA Approved Vegan certification.
