Ensoco provides affordable coaching, consulting, and workshops to nonprofits, social enterprises, and other organizations looking to be more socially and environmentally responsible. They engage a network of expert consultants and mentors to assist with marketing, strategy, impact, finance, and other aspects of business development. Services are adapted based on needs, time pressures, and budgets with a focus on producing positive, long-lasting results. Ensoco works with clients in Croatia and the United Kingdom. In Croatia, their work with young social entrepreneurs is free of charge. Ensoco donates profits to local initiatives including a group working on permaculture development in Split and Dalmatia. Since there was no legal structure for social enterprises in Croatia at the time they registered, Ensoco added an annex to their company registration documents to lock in their social enterprise values.


Enter Heart

Enter Heart specializes in environmentally responsible gift box sets that include handmade jewelry and unique illustrated gift cards. They prioritize local artists and suppliers in the United Kingdom to support the local economy, ensure ethical and sustainable practices, and minimize their environmental impact. The jewelry is designed and made by artisans from recycled sterling silver, recycled whiskey barrels, and other responsible materials. The gift cards, boxes, and packaging are plastic free and made from materials that are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, recyclable, or compostable. Enter Heart maintains low margins to increase the accessibility of ethical and sustainable gift options.


Enviro Beds

Enviro Beds specializes in mattress recycling and mattress removals across Sydney to reduce waste and contribute to a circular economy. They salvage, recycle, and repurpose materials from collected mattresses, refreshing them for reuse or stripping them for parts and supplying those components to local businesses for manufacturing. Enviro Beds collaborates with local charities to increase their material recovery rate. They transform mattresses into dog beds for local vets and pet shelters and partner with Red Earth and other community organizations to reuse materials for cultural purposes. Recovered metal rods are used to create fishing spears for remote Indigenous communities. Enviro Beds is an Australian Bedding Stewardship Council (ABSC) approved mattress recycler.


EPIC Social Enterprise

EPIC Social Enterprise prints promotional products in Wexford, Ireland, and provides training and employment opportunities to people who are in recovery from addiction and people who face barriers to work due to past criminal convictions. They offer graphic design services and branded t-shirts, caps, bags, mugs, stationery, and other items for businesses, community groups, sports clubs, charities, and government agencies. Their eco product collection includes branded merchandise made from sustainably sourced, recycled, and compostable materials. Epic Social Enterprise provides extensive training, work experience, and support services to help people rebuild their lives. They are a not-for-profit initiative of the Cornmarket Project and reinvest all surplus towards their mission.


Época Mezcal

Época Mezcal offers sustainably sourced mezcal and other agave-based drinks from Mexico to customers in the United Kingdom and uses their proceeds to fund social projects in both countries. They work in collaboration with Mujeres del Mezcal y Maguey, a social collective run by women in the agave spirits industry in Mexico, to identify artisanal producers in marginalized areas and build long-term relationships. Their current collection includes mezcal made from espadín, cupreata, and alto agave, roasted in earthern pits, fermented in wooden vats, and distilled in copper pots. Época Mezcal offers fair trade prices and supports sustainable development projects in producers' communities. In the United Kingdom, they aim to provide holistic support, skills training, and employment opportunities to disadvantaged groups. Época Mezcal is a member of Social Enterprise UK.


Equal Exchange

Equal Exchange is a worker-owned cooperative that has been bringing together small farmers and citizen-consumers since 1986. Through their success, they aim to demonstrate the contribution of cooperatives and Fair Trade to a more equitable, democratic, and sustainable world. Equal Exchange forms direct, long-term partnerships with small farmer organizations worldwide. They started with organic coffee, tea, and chocolate, and later expanded to banana, avocado, olive oil, dried fruit, nuts, and more. Products are available online and supplied on a wholesale basis to stores, cafes, offices, churches, and other community partners. Equal Exchange has more than 130 worker owners and a network of citizen-consumers that join together for shared learning, events, and campaigns to build a more democratic food system. They donate 10 percent of pre-tax earnings to mission-aligned not-for-profit organizations and are part of Fair Trade Federation, Green America, Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts, Provender Alliance, US Federation of Worker Cooperatives, National Organic Coalition, and Fair World Project.


EqualityMD

EqualityMD provides LGBTQ+ inclusive telehealth and prescription fulfillment services that enable underserved communities to access affordable, affirming care in safe digital spaces. Their platform connects patients with a national network of telehealth doctors and therapists trained to deliver affirming and respectful care to LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies. Members receive access to virtual primary and urgent care visits and mental health sessions. They also offer training for providers to enhance their cultural competency and improve patient engagement and outcomes. EqualityMD provides discounts to organizations and community members facing financial constraints. They donate to LGBTQ+ clinic groups that also provide support with housing, food security, job training, and other essentials. EqualityMD is a certified B Corporation and LGBT Business Enterprise.


Erathna Rainforest Vanilla

Erathna Rainforest Vanilla supports Sri Lankan vanilla farmers and promotes natural locally grown vanilla as an alternative to imported synthetic flavoring. They specialize in whole vanilla beans and pure vanilla paste and extract. Erathna Rainforest Vanilla sources from small-scale producers in Erathna, Maliboda, Deraniyagala, Nawalapitiya, and Gampola and is part of the largest vanilla farmers' association in Sri Lanka. They invest 10 percent of their sales in training and capacity building for farmers with a focus on sustainable production practices. Erathna Rainforest Vanilla takes back plastic packaging for recycling.


ERES

Envo Renewable Energy Services (ERES) is a rural energy enterprise that is creating a holistic ecosystem to provide reliable energy services for underserved communities of the North East Region of India. They focus on the most remote and vulnerable areas and provide solar systems for home lighting, health centers, mobile health units, rural schools, water pumps, street lighting, and sustainable rural livelihoods. Access to renewable energy improves quality of life and supports income generation, asset building, and sustainable development. ERES maintains low margins to support people in need and provides voluntary services during floods and natural disasters. Their focus on renewable energy and underserved communities is included in their governance documents.


eSamudaay

eSamudaay empowers entrepreneurs with digital tools so they can run digital businesses, serve their communities, and spark grassroots local innovations. Their platform enables small-scale local businesses, farmers, and artisans to create branded digital marketplaces and manage logistics, payments, delivery, and customer service through a simple mobile interface. The app is optimized for exchanges between local buyers and local sellers to build trust and keep economic benefits within the community. eSamudaay piloted their district digital economy approach and network economy software toolkit (NEST) architecture in Udupi and is now enabling Nested Networks in other districts. A core principle is that the value of the digital economy should accrue to the location where the data is generated. Each digital service company in their network reinvests in the district where it is registered.


Escola do Mecânico

Escola do Mecânico addresses record unemployment and gaps in the automotive aftercare market by helping low-income Brazilians access professional qualifications as motorcycle or automotive mechanics and empowering them to find jobs or set up their own businesses. They started as a small project to train minor offenders at Fundação Casa in Campinas and now have more than 35 schools across nine Brazilian states through a social franchise model. Escola do Mecânico partners with financial service providers to ensure the courses and training programs are accessible and offers scholarships to students in need. The schools are inclusive by design and provide training for women, people with disabilities, and other participants that face traditional barriers to employment. Escola do Mecânico is committed to public health and environmental protection and includes specific modules on recycling and the correct disposal of vehicle parts and waste. They are part of Yunus Social Business, Conscious Capitalism Brazil, and other social impact networks.


ESHKOL Garden Works

ESHKOL Garden Works was started to promote organic urban farming, improve food security, protect the environment, and help people grow and prepare their own food. They specialize in vertical garden planters, pots, plants, seeds, and support services. ESHKOL products are made by a rural minority community in Uva Province and upcycled materials are used whenever possible.


Eskayel

Eskayel is a New York based design studio that specializes in environmentally responsible wall coverings, fabrics, carpets, furnishings, and accessories. Their design process usually starts with paintings inspired by nature and travel. Rugs are skillfully handcrafted by artisans in Nepal from wool and silk. Other textiles and wall coverings are printed locally on natural linen, organic cotton, Forest Stewardship Council certified paper, and recycled materials using non-toxic, water-based inks. Eskayel uses digital printing to minimize energy and water use and makes all products to order to eliminate overproduction and stock waste. Eskayel is a member of 1% for the Planet and donates to Union of Concerned Scientists, Mission Blue, 5Gyres, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Surfrider Foundation, Greenpeace, and Vital Action Project.


ESLIDER Portugal

ESLIDER is an association that promotes, connects, and empowers the social innovation sector in Portugal. They focus on advocacy to include social innovation in the national political agenda, networking to promote knowledge sharing and cooperation, and representation to increase the visibility of Portuguese social innovation nationally and internationally. The association includes individual social entrepreneurs, social innovation organizations that actively contribute to solving social and environmental challenges, and mission-aligned organizations that want to contribute to the growth of Portuguese social innovation even if social mission is not at their core. ESLIDER represents Portugal in the EUCLID Network, the largest European network of social enterprises and impact leaders.


Esoko

Esoko is a pioneering technology social enterprise that drives economic empowerment to rural Africans through digital and financial inclusion. They started by providing market prices to smallholder farmers over SMS in 2008. They now offer mobile and web-based solutions and tools that help agribusinesses and development organizations reach rural communities with services that improve their livelihoods. Esoko connects more than one million farmers to weather forecasts, agronomic advice, market linkages, insurance coverage, and other essential services via SMS, voice SMS, and call centers. Their Insyt Data Collection and Analytics Platform supports data collection, digitization, and analysis for large scale surveys, field deployment, and agricultural extension facilities. Esoko helps service providers reduce costs, save time, and eliminate data errors while gaining real-time visibility and insights into operations.


Esperanzart Jewelry

Esperanzart offers handmade Ecuadorian jewelry that supports women coming out of sex trafficking, prostitution, abuse, or other vulnerable situations. Their beaded earrings, necklaces, and bracelets are made from locally available natural materials like tagua nut, açaí berries, and pambil seeds and are available online and through a network of wholesale partners. The Esperanzart workshop provides job training, community, and a steady income and helps women gain confidence and heal through art and positive relationships. The women who participate in Esperanzart also receive holistic support through other branches of End Slavery Ministries Ecuador (ESME). Casa Adalia is a residential safe home for women and their children, Caminos de Libertad is a non-residential program for women gaining independence, and Amadas provides street outreach to people currently in prostitution. They provide living stipends, case management, therapy, educational opportunities, medical care, and other services. Esperanzart has not-for-profit status in Ecuador. All proceeds are reinvested towards their mission.


Essentiā Wellness

Essentiā Wellness produces pure essential oils, carrier oils, and extracts to uplift Sri Lankan farmers and support health and wellbeing. They use supercritical fluid extraction (SCFE) technology, also known as the CO2 method, without the use of heat or additives to maintain the health benefits of the active plant compounds. The extracts can be used in food and drinks, and the essential oils can be used for skincare, aromatherapy, and home care. Essentiā Wellness sources spices and other raw materials directly from local farmers. They provide equipment to spice farming communities and school supplies and equipment to underprivileged rural schools. Essentiā Wellness has been transitioning to paperless systems and working to reduce waste and minimize energy consumption in their facilities. All glass and polythene waste is recycled, and paper is reused or composted.


Esther Lanka

Esther Lanka specializes in handmade, environmentally responsible packaging, stationery, housewares, and decor. They serve wholesalers, distributors, exporters, and retail customers and offer customized eco-friendly solutions for printing and packaging, corporate gifts, weddings and other events. Their souvenir spice packs contain Sri Lankan spices, tea, and coffee sourced directly from small-scale rural producers. Esther Lanka operates as a social enterprise. They work in rehabilitation centers, orphanages and slum communities and focus on helping at-risk youth and young mothers from underprivileged families become self-sustainable through knowledge sharing, training, and market opportunities.

Esther's focuses on all natural personal care and beauty products including a black hair oil, face and body scrubs, mud packs, and a treatment for dark circles under the eyes.


Eswatini Foods

Eswatini Foods has been producing natural foods, sourcing ingredients directly from local smallholder farmers, and creating employment opportunities for rural women and youth since 1992. They offer Swazi Fire hot sauces, vegetable and mango atchar pickles, tomato sauce, chutneys, jams, marmalades, and honey. Products are available locally and through international fair trade partners. Eswatini Foods is woman-led, and over 90 percent of staff at all levels are women. They follow fair trade practices, pay living wages, provide safe working conditions, and support workers to increase their financial and social freedom. Eswatini Foods partners with the Woman Farmer Foundation to build the capacity of women and youth farmers and help them transition to climate-smart, environmentally responsible agriculture practices.
