The Alliance for Sustainability was founded in 1983 with a mission to cocreate sustainability on a personal, organizational, and planetary level. Over the years, they have worked in partnership on education campaigns, citizen engagement, policy action, institutional change, and other sustainability initiatives. They also developed and spun off the Resilient Cities Coalition. Building on these pioneering successes, The Alliance for Sustainability is now focused on a Campaign for Sustainability, Health, Equity and Kindness, also known as the SHE Kindness Campaign, to support personal transformation, policy shifts and fundamental systems change. They are expanding the alliance and welcome members and partners aligned with the new Declaration of Co-Creation and Interdependence and Greenprint for Sustainability, Health, Equity and Kindness. Alliance for Sustainability offers presentations, workshops, and consultations for corporations, small businesses, nonprofits, schools, local governments, religious organizations, and other community groups. They are registered as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
Alliance of Rural Communities (ARC) supports communities throughout the Caribbean to use rural resources, labor, and creativity, develop collective production facilities, process local raw materials, increase margins, and build financially independent, community-owned businesses. They started by teaching rural cacao communities to make artisanal chocolate. ARC incubates community-owned chocolate companies, coordinates marketing and distribution of community products, and promotes community-led cocoa and chocolate tours. In Trinidad, they also offer fresh organic produce deliveries, an online zero waste shop, community wellbeing initiatives, and the ARC Co-Create Hub. Globally, they initiated The Cross Atlantic Chocolate Collective with cocoa farmers from across Africa and the Caribbean and allies in the United States. Alliance of Rural Communities is registered as a not-for-profit organization in Trinidad and Tobago.
All Marine Charters facilitates vital studies of the Great Barrier Reef and helps scientists monitor and protect marine ecosystems that benefit biodiversity, coastal communities, and future generations. Their production facility is solar powered and registered with the Department of Ayurveda. All Naturals aims to make natural skincare more affordable and accessible for people in Sri Lanka.
Allpa was founded in 1986 to celebrate Peruvian artisans and support them with innovation, design, and fair trade market access. They offer housewares, clothing, and accessories made from alpaca fiber, wool, cotton, clay, wood, silver, and copper. Allpa ensures their artisan partners have fair wages, good working conditions, consistent employment, and capacity-building opportunities. They provide interest-free loans for workers and invest 20 percent of profits to improve artisans' workshops and equipment. This includes investing in renewable energy and solar water heaters. Allpa is a World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) Guaranteed Member, has the Nest Seal of Ethical Handcraft, and is part of The Nest Guild and WFTO Latin America.
Allpeco offers fresh, artisanally roasted, fair trade coffee from small-scale producers in Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Ethiopia, and the Congo that grow under shade and follow organic agroforestry practices. They highlight the origins of each coffee, create custom roasting profiles based on the terroir, and roast on-demand in Saint-Thuriau, Brittany. Allpeco pre-finances harvests, provides transparent fair trade prices, and offers three-year contracts to enable long-term investment. They support reforestation programs, solar power generation, and initiatives to reduce water consumption and waste. Coffee is delivered to bulk customers in returnable buckets. Allpeco has EU organic certification and is a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). Profits are reinvested and donated to projects in producing countries.
All to the People supports social business entrepreneurs working in underprivileged communities. They raise awareness about social business, provide financing and free services, and connect changemakers with talent, skill sharing spaces, free business resources, and mentoring opportunities. All to the People partners with mission-aligned groups and is starting a course and community business center for female entrepreneurs in Oaxaca, Mexico. They operate as a not-for-profit organization.

They specialize in event design, planning, and production with additional services for hybrid and virtual events. They also offer learning services and mentorship to community members interested in organizing gatherings, project management, or any other service they provide. Alluvium Gatherings supports movement building by focusing on shared experiences that encourage belonging, sense of place, inspiration, motivation, validation, and trust. Almost Heaven Farms is a permaculture demonstration, training, research, and resource center and self-sustaining farm in the Ilam district of Nepal in the eastern Himalayas. Going beyond sustainable agriculture and organic farming, they work with local farmers to transition to agroecology and regenerative agriculture, adapt to climate change, and restore local soils, water sources, and ecosystems. Almost Heaven Farms also offers design, consulting, and ecological restoration services, four-week permaculture design internships, two-year diplomas, biofertilizer training, fermented food workshops, volunteer experiences, and other hands-on learning opportunities. The farm is known for its organic Nepali kimchi, fermented chili pepper sauce, and mango, pineapple and apple vinegars. They are part of a network of communities committed to regenerative development across the Himalayan bioregion.
aloe design creates handmade natural candles, surf wax, and housewares from local, sustainably sourced materials. Their beeswax candles are long lasting, clean burning, and sold with low margins to increase accessibility. The surf wax is free from synthetic ingredients and is safer for skin and marine life. Their plant pots and housewares are made from leftover cement from local construction sites that would otherwise go to waste. aloe design uses locally made packaging and reduces, segregates, and recycles waste.
Aloka Plant Nursery offers affordable, naturally grown potted plants for a healthy life and a healthy mind. They use pots and planters made from locally sourced clay, cane, coconut coir, and coconut shells. Aloka Plant Nursery uses coconut husk, charcoal, compost, and other natural fertilizers and maintains insect-repellent plants for pest control. They provide after-sales advice and support to customers.
Alpaca Coffee makes it easier for people to access high quality, sustainably sourced coffee and reduce their plastic consumption at the same time. They specialize in handpicked single-origin specialty coffee from Central and South America and partner with farms, estates, and cooperatives that have a shared commitment to quality, ethical practices, fair trade, and environmental responsibility. The beans are roasted locally by partners in Cambridge and packed in plastic free coffee bags with home compost certification from TÜV AUSTRIA. The bags are made from unbleached kraft paper, the lining and label are made from cellulose harvested from sustainable plantations, and the valve and zipper are made from sugarcane, cassava, and corn bioplastics. Alpaca Coffee partners with One Tree Planted to plant a tree in the Amazon rainforest for every 10 bags of coffee sold.
Employee-owned and locally operated, Alpine Bank has been serving Colorado communities since 1973. Alpine Bank's commitment to social and environmental responsibility is integrated into all areas of operation. Their debit card program allows customers to choose from a range of causes: arts, community, education and the environment. For every transaction, Alpine Bank donates 10 cents to organizations working on these issues in the local community. They also allocate more than 14,000 hours of paid employee volunteer time per year. In 2005, employees started a grassroots effort called the Green Team, which has reduced energy and resource use, led to the development of an Environmental Management System, and helped Alpine Bank achieve ISO 14001 certification and induction into the International Green Industry Hall of Fame.

Alternative Waste Technologies produces affordable, clean biomass briquettes to mitigate climate change and deforestation while creating employment opportunities for out-of-school youth in urban slums so that they can unlock their potential, develop their skills, and create successful futures for themselves and their families. The briquettes are made from refined and densified agricultural and charcoal waste, have a high combustion efficiency, and are replacing firewood and coal in Kenyan households, schools, hotels, restaurants and industries. This reduces fuel costs, health risks, and environmental pollution. Alternative Waste Technologies offers a social franchise model that enables entrepreneurs in slum settlements to build businesses by selling briquettes directly to their communities and an intensive work-study program that allows youth to earn as they learn basic skills and develop technical capabilities. They also provide consultancy services, train community organizations and non-government organizations to make and sell biomass briquettes, offer licensed distributorships, and sell associated products like energy saving cook stoves and cooking pots.
Amadiya is a 110-acre organic permaculture farm in north central Sri Lanka with two large water reservoirs and 50 acres of protected forest. They are committed to crop diversity and cultivate multiple varieties of traditional heirloom rice as well as fruits, vegetables, legumes, and leafy greens. The farm team is using cover crops, compost, chicken, goat, and cow manure, and natural liquid fertilizers to build soil quality. They also use pest repellent plants and biopesticides made from locally sourced ingredients. Amadiya plans to offer farm visits and training programs on permaculture design and organic farming. They provide farm products to workers at wholesale rates, offer scholarships for local schoolchildren, and contribute to community events. Amadiya is verified under a local organic participatory guarantee system (PGS) and is part of Owita, ABBA Agri, and the Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture (MESA).
Amar Bangladesh is an initiative by the Bangladesh High Commission to Sri Lanka to support small-scale farmers and producers and share authentic, all natural Bangladeshi products with people in Sri Lanka. They offer linen and handloom clothing, jute bags, baskets, and accessories, and traditional foods. Amar Bangladesh donates 6% of all sales to support cancer patients at Maharagama Apeksha Hospital.

They directly source handcrafted fabrics from rural producers throughout India at fair rates set by the artisans. Fabric offcuts are upcycled to create bags and other accessories. Amar Kosa offers plus size curvy fashion, style consultations, and custom designs. Customers can choose from fabrics in their Bangalore studio or bring their own fabrics and sarees for reuse. They maintain long-term relationships with customers and offer unlimited alterations to extend the lifecycle of each piece.
Amaryn by SVATANYA supports underprivileged women to leverage their creativity, become financially independent, and live with dignity through the production of handcrafted products and toys that are distributed to children in need. They create clothing, accessories, housewares, and soft toys from upcycled textile waste and environmentally responsible materials and sell them online and through retail partners under their Amaryn brand. They also offer workshops for corporate employees on upcycling, conscious living, and other topics. Proceeds are used to train women to make handcrafted toys that are gifted to children in slums, government hospitals, shelter homes, and red light districts. The women are able to learn new skills, build their capacity, and earn a livelihood while bringing joy to local children and supporting their emotional and psychosocial development. SVATANYA collaborates with other purpose-driven organizations to offer medical camps and awareness programs on health, mental wellness, online privacy, security, and environmental sustainability.
