Green Lanka Kithul

Green Lanka is a social enterprise started by People’s Development Foundation that specializes in kithul syrup, kithul jaggery, kithul flour, and kithul-based sweets. They provide fair trade rates to kithul tappers and affordable prices to consumers. Any surplus is used to support extension, environmental education, and services to rural communities in Kegalle District.


Green Leaves Products

Green Leaves Products specializes in local health food products including herbal porridges, herbal osu drinks, kurakkan powder, olu kenda mix, and traditional suwandel and heenati rice. They source ingredients from local businesses and organic farmers and sell through local organic and natural food shops.


Green Machine

Green Machine recycles and refurbishes electronics in the United Kingdom to reduce pollution, emissions, and digital poverty. They collect unwanted IT equipment, provide secure data destruction services, and either refurbish the devices or break them down into parts for recycling. Refurbished equipment is sold at affordable rates or donated to local schools, charities, or people in need. Funds from selling recyclable materials and refurbished equipment are used to train young people in IT recycling, repairs, and services. Green Machine prioritizes trainees who face barriers to employment due to disadvantaged backgrounds or learning disabilities and helps them develop workplace skills and access formal qualifications. Green Machine has ISO certification in quality management, environmental management, and information security management. They are a member of Social Enterprise UK.


Green Map System

Green Map System provides an award-winning iconography, adaptable framework, and social mapping platform that help people chart and promote sustainability in their own city. They support a locally-led community mapping movement that started in 1992 with a Green Map of New York City and spread to 65 countries through the work of Green Map Makers that are committed to inclusive participation and local livability in their home communities. Together, they have co-designed 170 Green Map Icons that can be used to identify local ecological, cultural, sustainability, and social justice sites on the Open Green Map platform or on other online mapping platforms. Services and resources are under a Creative Commons license and available at no cost to non-commercial users including educators, nonprofits, local governments, and grassroots community groups. Green Map System is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that maintains these resources and offers tours, talks, and consulting services. They are part of O2 Global Network on Sustainable Design, the New Economy Coalition, and LES Ready.


Green Orbit Digital

Green Orbit Digital helps organizations in the space industry reduce their ecological footprint and align their marketing efforts with sustainability goals. They specialize in branding, communications, marketing, sustainability workshops, training, consulting, and environmental impact assessments for startups, academic institutions, government agencies focused on responsible space exploration, and environmental organizations dedicated to protecting the space environment and Earth’s ecosystems. Green Orbit Digital prioritizes digital processes over print to reduce waste, operates remotely to reduce carbon emissions, and invests in carbon offset projects when travel is required. They produce free articles, webinars, and other resources to raise awareness of sustainability challenges and solutions in the space sector. Green Orbit Digital is a member of People, Planet, Pint.


Greenspace Information for Greater London (GiGL)

Greenspace Information for Greater London (GiGL) collaborates with professional networks and their community to ensure London’s natural environment is understood, protected, improved, and enjoyed for the benefit of nature and the people that live in and visit the capital. They mobilize, collate, manage, and share detailed information on London's wildlife, parks, nature reserves, gardens, and other open spaces. GiGL invests in robust survey and monitoring programs and good data stewardship. They provide access to data, information, and services to support customers' research and help them make informed decisions. Fees are on a sliding scale based on customer turnover. Surplus is used to provide free support to members of the public, students, and a network of community groups and nature specialists. GiGL is a Community Interest Company (CIC) and a member of Social Enterprise UK, the Association of Local Environmental Records Centres (ALERC), and the National Biodiversity Network.


Green Sun

Green Sun is a four-acre farm near Dankotuwa that focuses on conserving traditional rice varieties. They have not used synthetic agrichemicals since 2008. Products include suwandel heirloom rice, passion fruit, star fruit, nelli, narang, vanilla, orchids, pepper, chili, king coconut, and king coconut wine. Green Sun is verified under an organic participatory guarantee system (PGS).


Green Work

Green Work aims to help people live a "healthier, greener life" and grow their own food by providing gardening products and services. They specialize in decorative cacti and green walls of edible vegetables or ornamental plants. Green Work is committed to environmentally responsible practices and does not use synthetic agrichemicals.


Green World Revolution

Green World Revolution helps long-term unemployed people re-enter the workforce through urban farming in Australia. They grow hydroponic microgreens, gourmet salad leaves, and garnishes for restaurants at their Gladstone Street Farm in Perth. They have also developed a Micro Urban Farm growing kit so that people can grow their own microgreens at home or in commercial kitchens. The goal is to increase consumption of microgreens, a nutrient-rich superfood, while minimizing food transport and packaging. The kits contain untreated, non-GMO, open pollinated seeds and grow mats made from coconut, hemp, or other renewable natural fibers. The waste at the end of each growing cycle is organic and can be composted and reused in the garden. Green World Revolution kits and seeds are available online and through local farmers markets. They are a registered charity under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).


Greet More

Greet More creates unique greeting cards that are handmade from paper waste, recycled materials, and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper. The inside of the card is blank to encourage people to reflect on their loved ones and craft a personalized message. Greet More donates 5% from each card to Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama. In the future, they hope to expand their services to provide livelihood opportunities to low income communities.


Ground One Civil

Ground One Civil provides skilled personnel to the civil construction industry and offers skill development and inclusive employment opportunities for workers from diverse minority groups and disadvantaged communities in Australia. They specialize in civil infrastructure, steel fixing, concrete structures, fiber reinforced polymer (FRP), and maintenance. Ground One Civil liases with local land councils, Indigenous employment agencies, and disability employment agencies and have employed indigenous people, women, immigrants, people with disabilities, and people recovering from corrective service and drug addiction. They create a work culture of pride and belonging and maintain an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) approach to workplace safety, where people are valued and work together to minimise harm to all personnel and property. Ground One Civil is an indigenous woman owned and operated company and is part of Supply Nation, Australia's leading database of verified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses.


Grounds For Good

Grounds for Good collects used coffee grounds from coffee houses across Wales and repurposes them into food, drinks, and housewares to prevent methane emissions and change what people consider waste. They offer coffee-distilled gin and vodka, vegan chocolates, coffee-infused preserves and oils, wildflower seed balls, and cups, drinking straws, egg holders, soap dishes, eye pillows, and other home accessories made with upcycled coffee grounds. Grounds for Good sources from Welsh suppliers to support the local economy and uses bottles and packaging made from recycled paperboard, recycled glass, and compostable film. They donate a portion of their profits to Llamau, a homelessness charity that supports vulnerable young people and women in Wales.


Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities

Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities is a nonprofit that works with people to build a thriving local farm and food economy, make towns and villages stronger, more walkable, bike-able, and transit-friendly, and develop local, clean energy. They focus on achieving on-the-ground results in northwest Michigan and leveraging them to support other communities and improvements to state policy. Groundwork is member-driven and member-funded. They collaborate to protect the environment, strengthen the economy, and build community.


Grow Ahead Foundation

Grow Ahead Foundation enables people to connect directly with small-scale farmer organizations in the Global South and support agroforestry projects that contribute to climate resilience, income security, and food sovereignty. Their crowdfunding platform brings together contributions from individuals, businesses, organizations, and grants to fund community-led initiatives aligned with regenerative organic and fair trade principles. By planting trees in agroforestry systems, farmers can restore water and nutrients to their soil, increase the production of nutrient-dense food, diversify income through organic and fair trade product sales, pull carbon out of the atmosphere, meet community needs, and enhance their climate resiliency. Grow Ahead supports their farming partners long-term even after funds have been distributed. They are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization and reinvest all surplus towards their purpose.


Grow Benzie

Grow Benzie fosters positive action to connect people in rural Benzie County with healthful foods, jobs, life skills, and each other. It was established in 2008 when a group of local residents organized to renovate an abandoned Benzonia farmstead into a community-centered garden space. The campus now includes an event center, commercial kitchen, shared office space, incubator farm, bee yard, makerspace, sewing studio, stuff library, community garden, and farmers market. Partner organizations offer year round programs and events for all ages. For young people, Grow Benzie facilitates classroom activities, sponsors learning stations at school and community events, hosts field trips, and provides after school activities and programs for students from pre-school to high school. Grow Benzie has supported the formation of guilds, mutual aid associations for beekeepers, fiber enthusiasts, seed savers, and soil builders. The Seed Guild maintains a seed library, organizes workshops and seed swaps, and offers seed kits. Grow Benzie is a not-for-profit organization supported through member fees and community donations.


Growello

Growello specializes in nutritious, value added food in order to reduce post harvest losses and bring high quality Sri Lankan products to the world. They promote dehydrated fruit as a healthy snack and offer jackfruit flour and cassava flour as alternatives to imported refined wheat flour. Growello is committed to operating as a sustainable social enterprise and improving rural livelihood opportunities and standards of living. They source raw materials from the farmers near their production facility. Processing is done by women from the local area who do not have access to other forms of employment. Growello pays fair trade prices and wages and work with farmers to transition to environmentally responsible organic practices. A percent of profits is donated to a welfare fund for employees.


Grower's Secret

Grower's Secret specializes in innovative agricultural inputs that are approved for certified organic agriculture. Their story began in 1995 when two plant pathologists working with mushrooms found one that produces a compound that significantly stimulates root and plant growth. Field validation was conducted by third party researchers, and by 2003, the product was commercially available. Since then, the product line has been expanded to include other organic fertilizers and supplements made from beneficial microorganisms, natural rock phosphate, and plant based ingredients like seaweed, soy protein, corn steep liquor, and fermented molasses. All products are based on scientific research and third party tested, and most can be used with drip irrigation systems. Grower's Secret reduces risk and makes it easier for farmers to repair their soil and grow sustainably. They are committed to operating in a way that benefits all stakeholders, preserves natural resources, and makes a healthier world for future generations. Grower's Secret is listed by the Organic Material Research Institute (OMRI), registered with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) Organic Input Materials program, and is part of the Organic Fertilizer Association of California (OFAC) and the Organic Produce Network (OPN). They support nonprofit community gardens through product donations and volunteering.


Growing Gold Farms

Growing Gold is a family farm in Ghana that is committed to creating sustainable agriculture and food experiences. They use agroecological techniques to maintain biodiversity, develop the soil, conserve water, and produce fruit, vegetables, herbs, and spices without synthetic agrichemicals. Growing Green offers locally grown crops as an alternative to conventional imports. By directly connecting with consumers and avoiding intermediaries, they are able to maintain lower prices than supermarkets and make fresh, healthy produce more affordable and accessible in the local market. They use their platform to showcase workers and community partners, raise awareness about local sustainable agriculture, and promote healthy plant-based food. Growing Gold reinvests all profits towards their mission. During the next phase of development, they aim to develop seed saving networks and help neighboring farms transition to organic practices.


GSmiles-Agri

GSmiles-Agri is a mobile app that supports organic farming and helps small-scale farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses collect and manage field data for improved monitoring, decision making, and traceability. Farmers are able to securely store their own agricultural data in one place, manage sales, expenses, and financial flows, get real-time insights into farm activities, crop progress, and production, and improve decision making. Cooperatives and agribusinesses are able to maintain a central register, plan and monitor production by farmer, crop and field, disseminate agricultural best practices, ensure traceability and compliance with standards, and manage payments to farmers. The GSmiles app includes an offline mode to support data collection in fields without connectivity. The app also makes it easier for farmers to access quality inputs, like neem and other biopesticides, from local suppliers. GSmiles-Agri is an active member of Association Nationale pour l'Agriculture Biologique au Togo (ANA-Bio), a national organic association in Togo.


Guayapi Lanka

Guayapi Lanka's Maussawa Estate is a 20 hectare analog forest garden near the village of Pundaluoya. They offer farm stay accommodation, ecotourism experiences, and organic meals. The property was restored accord to the principles of the International Analog Forestry Network and has Forest Garden Product (FGP) certification. Guayapi products include tea, coffee, spices, kithul palm syrup, tropical fruit jams and cordials. They contribute 5% of profits to the Maussawa Rural Development Society.
