NAASBI uses collective purchasing power to offer reduced rates and ensure economic inclusion. NADA Illustration

NADA Illustration creates art with nature and from nature. They specialize in botanical illustrations and art prints on Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified recycled paper and Sri Lankan elephant dung paper. They also work with collected branches, clay, and natural colors made from onion skin, turmeric, cocoa, and plant waste. NADA Illustration is committed to supporting local businesses and service providers.


Nadi Organic

Nadi Organics specializes in unrefined organic virgin coconut oil for skincare and nutrition. They pack in amber glass bottles to protect the oil from direct sunlight, loss of nutrients, and exposure to the chemicals found in plastics. Nadi coconut oil is sustainably sourced from organic and fair trade certified suppliers.


Nadishka Aloysius Books

Nadishka Aloysius Books specializes in children's literature that celebrates local culture, promotes wildlife conservation, and educates through entertainment. Priority is given to local artists, graphic designers, printers, and distributors. Nadishka offers her services as a writer and teacher to social service organizations and regularly donates to local groups including Voice Foundation, SOS Children's Village, Society for Upliftment and Rehabilitation of Leprosy Affected Persons (SUROL), and Ranaviru Family Support Services (RFCSS).


Nakota Tuwa

Nakota Tuwa clothing, active wear, and swimwear is designed and manufactured in Sri Lanka from environmentally responsible materials. They prioritize natural fibers, low impact dyes, and upcycled fabric offcuts from local garment factories. Their pieces are designed to be durable and multipurpose for maximum use. Nakota Tuwa creates sustainable employment opportunities in rural areas where work is scarce and donates 10 percent of profits to Sambol Foundation, a local charity that protects women and children affected by domestic violence.


Nalaka Senadeera Movement

Nalaka Senadeera Movement is mobilizing Sri Lankan youth to cultivate abandoned land, promote native plants, preserve traditional seeds, and develop resilient local food systems. They travel to all parts of the country and maintain active social media channels that promote sustainable farming practices and celebrate positive action. They sell native plants at nominal prices to cover costs. All income is reinvested towards their mission.


Nalanda Innovation Hub

Nalanda Innovation Hub is creating a dynamic community space in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka for rural youth, entrepreneurs, artists, researchers, creators, and innovators. They offer coworking spaces, meeting and event venues, marketplace events, capacity building, training, workshops, art classes, children's activities, and more. Nalanda Innovation Hub prioritizes Good Market Approved suppliers, service providers, and stakeholders, has zero waste policies, and is committed to sustainability and inclusion. The space is accessible for people with disabilities, and programs are free of charge for local people from marginalized communities. Nalanda Innovation Hub operates as a self-sustaining initiative and reinvests all surplus towards its mission.


Nalapana

Nalapana manufactures natural bamboo straws in southern Sri Lanka to reduce plastic waste and create livelihood opportunities for low-income communities. They supply local cafes, restaurants, and retailers.


Namugongo Good Samaritan Organization

Namugongo Good Samaritan Organization empowers impoverished women and girls in Uganda with emotional, social, and vocational skills to become entrepreneurs, positive role models, and leaders who meaningfully contribute to their families and community. They work with groups of women to plant and conserve Nilotica shea trees, cultivate turmeric, soya, and other crops with no synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, and create handmade housewares and accessories from banana fiber and recycled paper beads. Namugongo provides HIV and AIDS counseling and community training on entrepreneurship and sexual and reproductive health. They are registered as a not-for-profit organization and participate in the Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association, AGOA Association of Uganda, Nakasero 3 Women Grain Millers Cooperative Society, Acholi Shea Butter Association, and Uganda Manufacturers Association.


Nangu

Nangu aims to restore degraded land and turn it into regenerative food forests through a network of purpose-driven organizations that grow, process, and distribute food, medicine, materials, and other forest products. The first Nangu village is being developed in Costa Rica and will focus on practicing regenerative agriculture, supplying affordable fresh fruits and vegetables for the local market, and building long term relationships with eco-ethical brands. The global team is developing core values, a governance model, and a public knowledge base to share these experiences and help guide and empower new communities around the world to regenerate our earth, our relationships, and our economy.


Nano's Fabulous

Nano's Fabulous prepares healthy, all natural pickles, relishes, chutneys, jams, and cereals using family recipes that have been passed down for generations. Their products increase fruit, vegetable, and whole grain consumption and provides a local alternative to imported natural foods. Nano's preferentially employs people from low-income backgrounds and provides them with social and financial support. They contribute to the Lahore Conservation Society to protect and improve their local environment.


Narnya Estate

Narnya Estate is a solar-powered estate in the Haldummulla hill country that is committed to self-sustaining, environmentally responsible agriculture. They produce green tea, vegetables, and eggs. Worker benefits include profit-sharing, free and subsidized housing, and zero-interest loans. They are verified organic under an organic participatory guarantee system (PGS).


Naropa Fellowship

Naropa Fellowship is a residential, post-graduate academic program focused on creating and nurturing change agents and future leaders who will create meaningful impact in Ladakh and the Himalayan region. The Fellowship is designed to address local challenges of unemployment, lack of professional development opportunities, brain drain, and cultural erosion. Key topics include ecotourism, social entrepreneurship, sustainable development, education, and cultural and heritage preservation. The residential campus in Hemis, Ladakh is equipped with solar powered centralized heating. Organic waste from the kitchen goes to a nearby animal rescue shelter on a daily basis. Naropa Fellowship is a Break Free From Plastic grantee and is working towards making the whole campus free from plastic. Scholarships are provided by the Pel Drukpa Charitable Trust.

Narrative Food delivers curated food boxes in the United States, supports small-scale makers, strengthens local food systems, and gives back to nonprofits that are working to change the world. They offer ready-to-ship gift boxes, subscription boxes, and custom gift boxes for employees, clients, donors, company milestones, birthdays, holidays, conferences, and other events. Their snacks, sweets, pantry items, meal kits, and drinks are sourced from artisanal suppliers with a commitment to sustainability and positive impact. Narrative Food uses plastic-free packaging materials, provides carbon-neutral shipping, and donates at least two percent of all sales to nonprofits. They measure emissions, implement carbon reduction action plans, and invest in sequestration through SeaTrees and Envira Amazonia. Narrative Food is B Corporation, Women Owned, and The Climate Label certified. They are a member of 1% for the Planet, B1 Network, and WeTheChange.


Nasta Natural

Nasta Natural produces affordable healthy food using sustainably sourced ingredients from small-scale farmers in Sri Lanka. They specialize in spices and spice blends, dehydrated and brined vegetables, kithul palm syrup and jaggery, and pure bee honey. Their brined jackfruit, breadfruit, moringa drumsticks, innala, lotus root, banana blossom, lasia stalks, winged beans, and thibbatu help prevent post-harvest losses. Nasta Natural visits farmers to promote and monitor sustainable agriculture practices. They conduct free awareness programs on healthy living, financial literacy, and business development.


National Crafts Council

National Crafts Council was established by the Government of Sri Lanka in 1982 to preserve, develop and promote indigenous handicrafts and uplift the socioeconomic status of skilled craftspeople. National Crafts Council maintains a database of registered artisans, organizes exhibitions, competitions and awards ceremonies, provides craft training, facilitates market linkages, ensures the supply of local raw materials, and coordinates craft societies, villages, and museums. They specialize in cane, bamboo, reed, dumbara, coconut, kithul, palmyrah, wood, lacquer, metalwork, clay, leather, lace, batik, handloom, musical instruments, and wooden masks.


National Forum for Human Rights

National Forum for Human Rights (NFHR) promotes democratic participation within Yemeni society and defends human rights, including the rights to life, freedom, dignity, equality, justice, development, education, health, food, water, and a clean environment. They monitor and report human rights violations in Yemen and provide advocacy, legal aid, and protection to victims. They also conduct awareness campaigns, training courses, and seminars across all Yemeni governates, build networks and partnerships to exchange knowledge, experiences, resources, and mutual support, and help develop and strengthen national human rights standards and systems. Their quarterly and semi-annual reports are publicly available online in Arabic and English.


National Organics

National Organics supplies natural botanical products from Nepal and promotes environmental sustainability and community development through responsible sourcing, innovative practices, and social investments. They offer Himalayan soapberries, essential oils, herbs, spices, plant-based butters and oils, superfoods, and Arabica coffee beans from small-scale farmers and grower groups. All products are free from synthetic pesticides. National Organics partners with Grow Nepal to provide training on improved planting, cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling techniques. They are committed to fair pricing and cover organic certification costs to enable farmers to meet international standards and access organic markets.


National Preschool Teachers Federation

The National Preschool Teachers Federation of Trade Unions provides a forum for preschool teachers and others associated with early childhood education to meet and share information on pedagogy and best practices. They also coordinate workshops and professional development programs. NPTFOTU is registered with Sri Lanka's Department of Labor under the Trade Union Act.

The majority of preschool teachers work out of a personal commitment to early childhood education. They volunteer their time or work for a very basic allowance. The National Preschool Teachers Federation recently started marketing environmentally friendly products from preschool teachers to help provide them with supplementary income. Members' products include housewares and furniture made from from upcycled wood pallets, accessories made from fabric scraps, reed bags, banana fiber bags, unbleached cotton toys and wood puzzles.

NatnZin is a responsible travel blog that shares information on how to travel sustainably and support the positive growth of local communities. They highlight public transport options, homestays, local businesses, and community-based organizations. They also offer itinerary planning services for responsible travelers looking for a curated local experience. NatnZin serve as ambassadors for Visit.Org, a global responsible travel organization.
