Niita

Niita is the international brand for the Manos Nicas network of artisans in Nicaragua. Manos Nicas supports artisan women affected by domestic violence and helps them become economically independent by providing training, design support, fair payment, and market access. They also provide housing assistance and organize educational and recreational activities for artisans' children. Manos Nicas prioritizes locally available materials. Under their Niita brand, they offer a unique range of mosaics made from corn husks, which are purchased from local farmers.


Nikakotuwa

Nikakotuwa is a family owned dairy farm with 45 cows. They focus on providing high quality fresh milk, paneer, curd, yogurt, and buttermilk to local consumers. They have started a fresh milk delivery service in Matale and collect glass bottles for sterilization and reuse. Nikakotuwa is committed to animal welfare. The cows have space to walk, rest, and interact with the rest of the herd. Nikakotuwa is in the process of setting up a bio fertilizer production facility and plans to develop a bio gas unit in the future.


Nikasalie

Nikasalie creates handmade jewelry from Sri Lanka medicinal seeds like madatiya, olinda, and naa. They also produce housewares and accessories from coconut shell, scrap wood, and other natural materials. Nikasalie is part of the 1948 Ceylon Doll community program.


NiLa Herbals

NiLa Herbals started on a farm in Trincomalee on Sri Lanka's east coast. They initially sold coconut and seasonal intercrops, but as they learned more about the health benefits of traditional cold-pressed oils, they began to produce coconut oil for home consumption. Further research caused them to question the ingredients in conventional skincare products, and they began using the coconut oil to produce natural soaps for family and friends. NiLa Herbals has expanded production to help more people access natural personal care products and to increase livelihood opportunities in the surrounding community. They regularly provide free soap to to people in need.


Nilmo Organic Farm

Nilmo Organic Farm produces organic fruits, vegetables, coconut and cashew in order to provide affordable, healthy options to Sri Lankan consumers and to protect the country's environment. They are certified organic under a local participatory guarantee system (PGS).


Nim K

Nim K uses natural local ingredients to produce nutritious treats and snacks. They are known for their dehydrated jackfruit chips, kurukkan finger millet cookies, and jackfruit seed cookies. Jackfruit is a large and abundant fruit. These value added products reduce food waste and provide an alternative to unhealthy imported snacks. Nim K provides livelihood opportunities for women from low income families, has a profit sharing program with suppliers, composts waste, and donates five percent of profits to local environmental conservation initiatives.


Nimmit

Nimmit encourages the appreciation, care, and promotion of India’s rich artistic heritage by connecting artisans throughout India with local and global consumers who value handcrafted products. They prioritize artisans and craft communities that use environmentally responsible natural materials like handspun and handwoven kala cotton, sustainably sourced silk, and black stone pottery. Nimmit provides design inputs and product development support, organizes workshops and exhibitions, and opens new market opportunities. They provide interest-free loans to artisans and donate to local schools, hospitals, and charitable trusts. Nimmit's parent company is a member of Care & Fair and Sedex, is SMETA audited, and has GOTS and OEKO-TEX certifications.


Ninalu

Ninalu is a minimalistic design label that started in Berlin in 2015. They specialize in natural fiber clothing, handmade jewelry from recycled silver, brass, copper, wood, seeds, stones, and other natural materials, and long-lasting stoneware ceramics. All products are handcrafted in small quantities with a focus on sustainability. Ninalu reduces waste by using garment factory offcuts that would have otherwise been burned or sent to landfill.


Nirmani Creations

Nirmani Creations uses embroidery to add value to Sri Lankan saris and create employment opportunities for local women. They source handloom sarees and fabrics from local producers in Ratnapura and add custom embroidered designs, wooden beads, handmade lace, and other local materials. Nirmani Creations is working towards zero waste production and uses all scrap materials for rugs, table mats, and sari patchwork. They donate embroidered baby products to pregnant mothers in need.


Nirodha

Nirodha specializes in natural herbal tea made from blue butterfly pea flowers (nil katarolu). The flowers are used in traditional Ayurveda to boost immunity, reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, support weight loss, control diabetes and hypertension, and improve hair growth and skin health. Nirodha has developed a network of small-scale organic farmers. They offer forward contracts, purchase at fair trade prices, and maintain a welfare fund for the farming community. Nirodha also organizes tree planting programs, sponsors environmental conservation activities, and covers school expenses for children from low income families. All of the farmers in their network are verified under a local organic participatory guarantee system (PGS).


Nisansala Special Training Center

Nisansala Special Training Center provides training for more than 170 children and young adults with learning disabilities and special needs. Over the years, their focus has shifted from residential care to supporting families so that people with learning disabilities are able to be independent and live as full a life as possible within their own support networks and communities. Training programs cover literacy, numeracy, health and hygiene, self help skills, social skills, speech therapy, physiotherapy, computers, homemaking, cooking, swimming, music, dance, and vocational skills. Nisansala also organizes parent awareness programs, sports meets, exhibitions, holiday celebrations, and other public events. Products from the vocational training programs are sold at these events, and the proceeds are deposited into participants' bank accounts.


NJ Art

NJ Art creates functional housewares and accessories from coconut shells and provides job opportunities for rural youth. They transform a renewable and biodegradable waste material into light covers, candle holders, cups, bowls, utensils, jewelry, and more. NJ Art purchases coconut shells from rural families and uses their profits to educate differently-abled school children.


Njombe Beyond

Njombe Beyond is an initiative started by the Southern Highlands Participatory Organisation (SHIPO) to reduce waste and recycle plastic in Njombe town. Since 2000, the import of plastic and synthetic rubber to Tanzania has increased by 400 percent. More than 1,000 tons of plastic arrive at the Njombe dumpsite each year, and because the nearest recycling facility for shredded plastic is more than 700 kilometers away, it is not economically viable to transport plastic for recycling. Njombe Beyond uses open source designs from the Precious Plastic movement and locally available materials to build small scale recycling machines and create recycled plastic products for the local market. They have developed
alphabet letters and learning materials for children, protective face shields, furniture, tiles, and other products with local demand. Njombe Beyond organizes community clean ups, school programs, and local environmental events to raise awareness about waste reduction and plastic solutions. They donate to Precious Plastic to support the global movement.


N & K Orient

N & K Orient makes value-added food products in Sri Lanka to reduce food waste and create employment opportunities for rural women. They offer cassava flour, moringa powder, dehydrated brinjal, and other local fruits and vegetables. N & K Orient works with farmers in Kos Delwattakkapa, Matara that do not use synthetic agrichemicals.


NM Creations

NM Creations focuses on hand-embroidered products that reduce waste and create livelihood opportunities for Sri Lankan women. They train local women in embroidery and produce custom clothing, accessories, and housewares using offcuts and deadstock from local garment factories. NM Creations provides home-based work for women who are unable to access traditional employment. They invest in skill development and worker wellbeing.


Node Colombo

Node (formerly Nidikumba) creates indoor green spaces in Colombo homes and businesses that improve wellbeing and bring people closer to nature. They offer a carefully curated selection of indoor plants from their own plant nursery and from small-scale growers that use homemade compost and natural growing techniques. Their planters and himmeli are created in collaboration with local artisans. Node simplifies the process of plant parenting and makes it more accessible to urban dwellers.


No Harm No Cow

No Harm No Cow produces plant-based food from organic and local ingredients and promotes healthy, sustainable living. They are known for their cashew-based vegan ranch dressing mix and vegan cheese sauce mix. All products are free from dairy, gluten, soy, preservatives, and other additives. No Harm No Cow participates in community markets and ships nationwide. They are a certified Arizona Green Business and a member of Local First Arizona.


Nomad Café | Boutique

Nomad Café specializes in healthy, flavorful food and is committed to environmental responsibility. They avoid single-use plastics, source organic ingredients whenever possible, and promote plant-based foods. Nomad offer options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free diets. The Nomad Boutique features a curated collection of men's and women's clothing and products that are made in Sri Lanka.


Nomads Giving Back!

Nomads Giving Back! makes it easier for digital nomads to contribute to positive social change in the local communities that serve as their home away from home. They create connections between locals and foreigners through impact-themed trips, culture and language exchanges, skillsharing programs, impact workshops, advocacy events, volunteer matching, and partnerships with local organizations. Nomads Giving Back! maintains online communities to help nomads, remote workers, and global citizens share skills and information and offers in-person events through hubs in Bali, Medellín, and Buenos Aires.


Nomi Network

Nomi Network is part of a global movement to end human trafficking and modern slavery. They create pathways to safe employment and economic stability for women and girls in Cambodia and India and empower them to break cycles of poverty, abuse, and exploitation in their families and their communities. Nomi Network works in hot spots like red light districts and places with high incidences of forced labor, forced marriage, and sex trafficking. Their Workforce Development Program provides vulnerable women with life skills training, sector-specific technical training, job placement or support to open a business, and follow up to encourage job retention or business expansion. Their Fashion Incubator supports local entrepreneurs and social enterprises that provide safe work for survivors and women at risk of trafficking. They offer advanced training, connections with corporate brands seeking transparent ethical supply chains, and direct market access to consumers. Nomi Network production centers and partners specialize in clothing, bags, and accessories that are made from repurposed materials and sold wholesale, online, and through events and popups. Nomi Network is registered as a nonprofit organization. All proceeds are reinvested in programs to end slavery through economic empowerment.
