MESH

Maximising Employment to Serve the Handicapped (MESH) provides design, capacity building, and fair trade marketing support for artisans with disabilities or affected by leprosy. They work with producer groups and disabled people's organizations across India and sell their handmade housewares and accessories online, in the MESH Fair Trade India shop in Delhi, and through international partners in Europe, North America, and Australia. MESH is known for their handwoven scarves and sarees, zero waste bags, cotton toys, and eco stationery. They are a member of Fair Trade Forum India and a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).


Metanoeo

Metanoeo aims to help all people live life well by supporting the journey from understanding to transformation. They offer life coaching, wellbeing resources, and training and support for life coaches. Life Garage is a free online resource grounded in psycho-social theory and positive psychology that helps individuals develop the tools to become their own life mechanics. Metanoeo Academy provides professional life coach training including a Level 5 Accredited Award in Community-Based Life Coaching and a Certificate in Personal Coaching. Training includes lifetime membership in the Metanoeo Guild, an alumni association that provides ongoing support, supervision options, and continuing professional development. Flexible payment plans and scholarships are available for students in need. Matenoeo partners with businesses and community organizations to provide one-to-one coaching sessions, deliver bespoke training, sponsor or host community-based life coaches, and create community wellbeing hubs. Metanoeo is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) and reinvests all surplus towards their mission. They are a member of Social Enterprise UK, the Association for Coaching, the Institute for Training and Occupational Learning, and the Wirral Council for Voluntary Services.


Metis Consulting Group

Metis Consulting Group builds thoughtful technology solutions with a focus on mutual respect, inclusion, transparency, and social responsibility. They specialize in custom software development, single sign-on, integrations, content management, emarketing, bulk email applications, and database solutions. As a disability-owned business, Metis offers substantial support for employees with disabilities and caregivers of people with disabilities including remote and flexible work options, custom equipment, accessible facilities, extensive paid time off, and more. Employees also receive paid time off and organizational support for volunteerism. Metis uses renewable energy onsite and purchases offsets for employee commutes and business travel. They provide pro bono and discounted services to nonprofits, social enterprises, and B Corps, sponsor local organizations and events, and participate in WeTheChange, The Care Economy Business Council, Careers in Code, and other mission-aligned networks. Metta Ayurveda

Metta Ayurveda was started by a Buddhist monk from southern Sri Lanka who went to medical school to become a registered Ayurvedic physician. They offer health services and treatments at the Metta Ayurveda Center, free medical clinics at children's homes and Buddhist temples, and a range of affordable herbal products designed for busy modern lifestyles. Products include herbal teas, drinks, oils, balms, and soaps. Metta Ayurveda is registered under the Department of Ayurveda in Sri Lanka.


Mexthon

Mexthon has been manufacturing luxury knitwear in Peru since 1997. They design, produce, and export clothing and accessories made from local alpaca wool, Peruvian pima cotton, Tangüis cotton, and other natural fibers. Mexthon is committed to fair trade practices, environmental responsibility, and the sustainable development of Peru. They are a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).


Mezcal Amarás

Mezcal Amarás was started as a project of love for Mexico, the sun, the earth, the sacred agave, and the people who make mezcal possible. They are committed to continuous innovation; evolving, growing, and adapting through the promotion of an artisanal mezcal supply chain; and striving towards a balanced relationship with the environment. Up to 20 percent of the net sale of each bottle goes towards social and environmental responsibility initiatives. Mezcal Amarás collaborates with agave farmers and master distillers, Maestros Mezcaleros, to produce and buy artisanal and ancestral mezcal at fair trade rates with a focus on preserving traditional craftsmanship, creating jobs, and stimulating the economy in marginalized regions. They rescue and protect 12 species of wild agave, cultivate agave organically, build the soil through organic compost, and replant seven agave on average for every agave harvested. As the world's first carbon neutral mezcal company, they calculate their carbon footprint, actively work to reduce it, and offset emissions by purchasing bonds that finance sustainable energy projects. Mezcal Amarás partners with World Wildlife Fund to develop advocacy initiatives in support of forests, soil conservation, and water care. They have Soil Association organic certification, ISO 14000 environmental management certification, and Carbon Neutral certification.


Mezmereza Ceylon

Mezmereza Ceylon produces herbal skin care and hair care products from plant-based ingredients like sandalwood, licorice powder, orange peel powder, wild turmeric, vetiver, neem, and essential oils. They do not use palm oil, artificial colors or synthetic fragrances. Mezmereza's mission is to make it easier for people to access effective herbal products that are good for health and the environment.


Mezzé

Mezzé specializes in nutritious, all natural dips and spreads made with locally sourced ingredients. For packaging, they use glass jars and recycled paper bags and offer discounts to customers that return jars for sterilization and reuse. Mezzé's initial product range includes classic hummus and hummus with coriander and cumin, roasted garlic, roasted red pepper, and roasted tomato.


MG EZS Sri Lanka

MG EZS is a fully electric zero-emission sports utility vehicle with a chargeable range of more than 330 kilometers. Their mission is to provide transport solutions that are affordable and environmentally responsible. The MG car company started in the United Kingdom as Morris Garages. MG vehicles are currently distributed in Sri Lanka through Micro, the country's first automobile manufacturer. Not only does the MG EZS minimize air pollution and potential carbon emissions, it is also economical. The cost per kilometer is 75% less than the cost of the same model petrol vehicle.


Mharo Khet

Mharo Khet is an experiential farm on the outskirts of Jodhpur that produces more than 100 plant varieties, provides guided tours, and offers plant-forward farm-to-table meals. They provide a working model for how once degenerated farmland can become a diverse, regenerative hub in the arid Thar Desert region. Mharo Khet's mostly female farm team comes from the surrounding area and follows organic agriculture practices that combine modern and traditional techniques. They deliver same-day-harvested fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables within Jodhpur and ship dried spices, herbs, pickles, preserves, legumes, grains, and flours throughout India. Mharo Khet provides educational support for staff members' families.


MHFA England

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England aims to improve the mental health of the nation by training at least one in ten people in mental health awareness and skills. They provide expert guidance and training to organizations of all shapes and sizes to support mental health in the workplace and beyond. Their evidence-based training gives people the skills to spot the signs of poor mental health, the confidence to start a conversation, and the knowledge to signpost to appropriate support. MHFA England has training options to suit a range of timescales and budgets from basic mental health awareness sessions to a full Mental Health First Aider qualification. Courses are delivered in person or online through the MHFA England Online Learning Hub. MHFA England offers free and discounted training to people working with youth in the sports and recreation sectors, front-line workers, the National Health Service (NHS), and Black-led organizations. They are a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), an accredited Living Wage Employer, and a member of Social Enterprise UK.


MHScot Workplace Wellbeing

MHScot Workplace Wellbeing helps employers develop and embed more caring and compassionate workplace cultures and equips employees with the skills and knowledge they need to support mental health and wellbeing at work. They offer assessments and tailored training for workplace mental health and wellbeing, national qualifications in mental health first aid, outdoor team building programs, online courses on positive psychology and wellbeing, and free quarterly networking events. Their interactive learning platform has been designed to accommodate disabilities and different learning needs. MHScot Workplace Wellbeing is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) and reinvests profits in the community by providing free and reduced-rate consultancy and training services to small not-for-profit organizations. They are a member of Social Enterprise UK, Social Enterprise Scotland, Edinburgh Social Enterprise Network, and Enterprise Scotland.


Mianzi

Mianzi aims to revolutionize the way bamboo is seen and used in India. They bring together award-winning designers and bamboo artisans to create unique, contemporary furniture, tableware, lighting, and other housewares. Mianzi works with the Madhya Pradesh State Bamboo Mission under the National Bamboo Mission to promote the growth of quality bamboo, train skilled artisans in modern design and international standards, and provide specialized tools and equipment. Bamboo is one of the fasting growing plants on the planet. Harvests are possible every second year for up to 120 years with a yield 25 times higher than timber hardwoods. It is durable, stronger than timber, naturally antibacterial without any treatment, grows in arid regions, prevents erosion, and releases about 35 percent more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees. Mianzi ensures ethical wages and reduces urban migration by creating better livelihood opportunities for rural artisans in their home communities.


Micky Foods

Micky Foods makes natural snacks in Ghana from locally sourced ingredients like plantains, cocoyam, cassava, peanuts, and ginger. They prevent food waste, create market opportunities for local farmers, and provide an alternative to imported snack foods with artificial additives. Products meet international food standards but are affordable for low income groups. Micky Foods donates to orphanages and people in need. They are part of Nourishing Africa and Changing Narratives Africa.


Microhive

Microhive is a micro giving scheme that enables employees and pensioners in the United Kingdom to round down their net pay to the nearest pound and donate the pennies to charity. Employers sign up for the service, select a charity or basket of charities, invite their employees to join, and automatically collect and collate donations through their payroll systems. Microhive makes setup and administration simple and coordinates distribution to the selected charities. Because the donations are small, everyone can afford to join in. Charities have access to a complementary fundraising tool that provides regular, fee-free donations. Microhive is a member of Social Enterprise UK and reinvests all surplus towards their mission.


Midaya Ceramics

Midaya is a family-owned ceramic company established in 1968. They specialize in hand-painted earthenware, stoneware, terracotta, and porcelain. Their in-house laboratory and studio enable them to work closely with designers and entrepreneurs to develop new products. They also sell their own line of ceramic tableware, kitchenware, and bathware under the Midaya brand. Midaya focuses on worker health and safety and environmental responsibility. Glazes and ceramic bodies are recycled and reused. Midaya promotes ceramics as a non-reactive, long-lasting alternative to plastic housewares.


Midigama Fruit Farm

Midigama Fruit Farm was established in 1996 to promote agroecology and regenerative farming, improve local livelihoods, and contribute to food security and socioeconomic development in the village of Midigama in southern Sri Lanka. They grow tropical fruits and fresh vegetables using a traditional three canopy multi-cropping system that optimizes land utilization, increases biodiversity, supports ecological pest management, and improves water conservation and soil health. Midigama Fruit Farm offers fruit and veggie boxes, guided farm tours, fruit tasting, vegan lunches, workshops, training programs, and farmstays. Visitors are able to see fruit forests, raised vegetable beds, bee hives, water conservation ponds, compost and liquid fertilizer production, a traditional kitchen, pack house, farm gate shop, eco center, meditation area, and spiritual walking paths. Midigama Fruit Farm provides fresh fruits and vegetables at discounted rates to workers and local farm huts and reinvests profits towards ecological improvements.


Midland Therapy Group

Midland Therapy Group provides accessible counseling and therapy services to help people recover from mental health issues and trauma and lead happy and fulfilled lives. In addition to providing sessions with fully qualified counselors, they offer low-cost sessions with supervised trainees and newly qualified counselors for people who may not have previously considered therapy due to the cost. For student counselors, they offer placements, supervision, mentoring, networking, continued professional development (CPD), and support to move from training to qualified work. Any surplus is used to provide affordable counseling services and support for trainees. Midland Therapy Group is a member of Social Enterprise UK.


Midnight Our Scallops

Midnight Our is a family-owned day boat operating out of Cape Cod that specializes in wild caught fresh scallops. This Atlantic sea scallop fishery is sustainably managed, responsibly harvested, and certified to Marine Stewardship Council standards. Boats use special gear to minimize bycatch, avoid protected areas, and harvest according to rotational access areas and a quota system. Midnight Our sells off the dock in Wychmere Harbor, Harwich Port. They raise awareness about sustainable seafood and connect the community to their local food system.


Midwest Elderberry Cooperative

Midwest Elderberry Cooperative supplies native North American elderflower and elderberry ingredients to benefit people's health and provide a local alternative to imported ingredients. They offer dried elderflowers, elderberry juice, and frozen, dehydrated, free-dried, and powdered elderberries. Products are minimally processed to preserve the natural nutrient density of the berries. Members prioritize regenerative farming practices, share information to address common challenges, and work together to expand market access. Midwest Elderberry Cooperative participates in agroforestry councils to advocate for perennial crops that are beneficial to people and the planet and co-markets their products with other environmentally responsible perennial crops. They are a member of the Sustainable Farming Association, South Dakota Specialty Producers, Savannah Institute, and Forever Green Initiative.
