Old Town Cafes

Old Town Cafes serves village-style rice and curry and other traditional Sri Lankan foods made from local, sustainably sourced ingredients. They use suwandel, madathawalu, rankahawanu, and heenati organic heirloom rice from Gajaba Farm in Medawachchiya, free range chicken from Amiron Farm in Batticaloa, and fish from local fishermen in Negombo. Vegetables and other ingredients are sourced from home gardeners in Medirigiriya, Polonnaruwa. Old Town Cafes is working with these producers to transition to organic practices under a local organic participatory guarantee system. They also provide training and employment opportunities for young chefs from these areas. Five percent of sales is allocated to expanding services to rural suppliers in marginalized communities.


Olive Express

Olive Express brings immersive travel experiences to aged care homes in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast to enhance residents’ mental well-being, foster social connection, and help them rediscover joy, purpose, and adventure. Their virtual reality train journeys recreate the experience of traveling and transport seniors to scenic locations from different parts of the world. This engaging form of diversional therapy provides opportunities for cognitive stimulation and socialization. Olive Express delivers their services in a wheelchair-accessible van with adjustable seating to accommodate mobile daybeds for seniors with limited mobility. They provide the excitement of global journeys without the carbon footprint of flights and cruises and inspire awareness of different cultures and natural wonders without harming them. Olive Express is a member of the Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC).


Olu Tropical Water

Olu Tropical Water is natural mineral water that originates 4,300 feet above sea level from the cloud forests of Sri Lanka. The company aims to be a leader in responsible business practices. They ensure extraction levels do not exceed recharge rates and impact local water tables. Olu is in the process of fully transitioning to glass water bottles and refill stations. At facilities that still use PET water bottles, they coordinate collection and recycling. Olu supports biodiversity research and conservation within Gal Oya National Park and the Nilgala Forest Complex. They are members of Biodiversity Sri Lanka.


Omegoodness

Omegoodness, which is the trade name of Maï Savanh Lao in the United States, supplies fair trade superfoods that support rural farming communities in Laos. They specialize in roasted snacks, cold-pressed oil, vegan protein powder, protein flakes, superseed butter, and granola made from sacha inchi, an edible seed that is rich in omega-3 and contains all essential amino acids that cannot be synthesized by the body. They also offer solar dried bananas and mack khen, a lemony wild harvested spice. Maï Savanh Lao works with a network of more than 2,000 farming families in low income rural areas to create sustainable income, promote environmentally responsible farming practices, and support long-term community development. They use a portion of their sales to run Snacks4Smiles, a school breakfast program that provides protein-rich snack bars made with sacha inchi to children before school in order to reduce malnutrition and improve learning. Maï Savanh Lao is a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).


Onagöre

Onagöre is a multidisciplinary creative studio that has been promoting fair share and equal voice principles in Istanbul's arts and culture community since 2005. They offer publishing, archiving, editorial consultancy, and design services. Onagöre experiments with innovative approaches and is committed to inclusion. They provide audio recordings for the visually impaired, affordable paperbacks and free PDFs for low income groups, and free design services for artists in need. They are part of the Turkish Publishers Association.


Onarım Atölyesi | Regenerative Impact Space

Onarım Atölyesi | Regenerative Impact Space advocates for new business models and economic paradigms that facilitate systemic transformations. They specialize in impact-oriented project design, process design, program curation, consultancy services, corporate learning workshops, media content, and community building. Onarım Atölyesi brings together diverse stakeholders and works through collaborative projects with the private sector, civil society, local government, social enterprises, and other community organizations. All projects support regenerative systems, prioritize disadvantaged groups, and follow a distributive revenue-sharing model. Onarım Atölyesi organizes Doughnut Economics Türkiye and is a member of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab.


One Among Trees

One Among Trees is a permaculture farm in the dry zone of Uva Province in southeastern Sri Lanka. They practice sustainable agriculture and natural building and offer alternative education programs, workshops, and responsible travel experiences. One Among Trees is "in pursuit of learning the new, relearning some old, and unlearning the disruptive ways and means to achieve a balance in coexistence." They reinvest a portion of profits to support workers' welfare and children's education and to expand social and environmental causes.


One Blue Eye

One Blue Eye works with individuals, businesses, and communities to give plastic waste value. They collect ocean plastic and other post-consumer plastic waste and transform it into affordable jewelry, accessories, housewares, and recreational equipment like surf wax combs, bodysurfing handplanes, and surfskates. They also organize guided beach cleans, offer plastic recycling workshops, and raise awareness at local events. One Blue Eye is part of the Precious Plastic community.


One Civil Ground

One Civil Ground provides holistic and cultural support services to Aboriginal males and aims to reduce the number of Aboriginal people in prisons and detention centers in Australia. They offer leadership and healing programs, mentoring, support networks, trade skills training, and employment opportunities related to residential concreting, formwork, land maintenance, and civil construction. They also maintain a bush retreat where people can reconnect with themselves and the land they come from. Their healing programs for men include Aboriginal dot painting, Didgeridoo sessions, land-care activities, field trips, fireside talks, yarning circles, and other cultural grounding techniques. Programs are supported through donations and sales of Aboriginal artwork. One Civil Ground is a member of the Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC) and the Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS). Their retreat property is part of Landcare Australia.


One Earth Toys

One Earth Toys specializes in environmentally responsible handmade toys and games for children that support the development of cognitive ability, motor skills, concentration, and creativity. Products are made from renewable materials like wood, wool, and cotton and finished with nontoxic child-safe dyes and natural polish. One Earth Toys is committed to supporting local artisans in Pakistan and developing designs that are adapted to the local context. They offer workshops in the Lahore area to give children and families the opportunity to create their own toys.


One Gin

One Gin creates premium craft spirits and donates at least 10 percent of their profits to The One Foundation to fund sustainable clean water programs in the world's poorest communities. They offer a classic gin made with fresh English sage, a russet apple gin, a port barrel ruby gin, and natural, low-sugar gin and tonics made with sage, orange zest, and apple. One Gin selects suppliers and production partners based on their commitment to water and energy efficiency and is in the process of accrediting their supply chain with ClimatePartner. Their glass bottles were designed for sustainability and can either be refilled or used as water carafes. The glass comes from Stoelzle in Lancashire, the labels are made from recycled apple pulp, and the closure is wood topped natural cork. In addition to supporting clean water through The One Foundation, One Gin contributes to local schools and charities.


One Hundred Seconds

One Hundred Seconds offers video storytelling for the world’s changemakers. They are a full-service video production company that specializes in capturing and distilling big ideas into short, memorable films for organizations that put people and planet first. Their flexible pricing structure supports smaller budgets and makes their services accessible for nonprofits and emerging small businesses. One Hundred Seconds creates a free promotional video each year for a local nonprofit and donates one percent of revenue to environmental organizations. They are a certified B Corporation and a member of 1% for the Planet, Better Portland, and Oregon Business For Climate.


One Less

One Less produces socially and environmentally responsible T-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, socks, and hoodies in India as a local, homegrown alternative to fast fashion. They use locally sourced bamboo and GOTS certified organic cotton fabrics and OEKO-TEX certified azo-free dyes. Their dyeing partner has a circular closed loop system that purifies water for reuse. The dyed fabric is cut to minimize waste and stitched by highly skilled, fairly compensated workers in a safe and healthy space. The finished product is packaged in recycled mailers with plantable seed paper and plastic-free stickers. One Less partners with Mukul Madhav Foundation to plant a fruit-bearing tree for every purchase. The trees are planted in Panawadi village on land belonging to local farmers and irrigated with a solar pump provided by Scitech Park.


One Million Leaders Africa

One Million Leaders Africa (OMLA) aims to harness the positive energy of African youth and help train, mentor, and support a new generation of leaders across the continent who can help put Africa on a more sustainable course. OMLA Fellows are young university graduates who participate in a boot camp on social innovation, social entrepreneurship, and sustainability and receive a stipend to train and mentor promising leaders in secondary schools and tertiary institutions called OMLA Stars. These OMLA Stars go on to provide training for other young people, called Starlets, through community groups, schools, and religious organizations. The Fellows work with their Stars and Starlets on community development projects, and after one year of commitment they have access to a vibrant Alumni community and network opportunities like scholarships, internships, job placements, grants, exchange programs, and trainings. One Million Leaders Africa operates on a not-for-profit basis and is part of Next Leaders’ Initiative for Sustainability (NELIS).


One Million Leaders Latin America

One Million Leaders Latin America (OMLATAM) aims to inspire, connect, and empower one million young people across Latin America by 2030. The network includes people between the ages of 18 and 40 who are working for positive social and environmental impact in their communities. OMLATAM provides practical skills in regenerative and transformative leadership, tools for innovation and social entrepreneurship, and a global support network for learning and experience sharing. They are part of Next Leaders’ Initiative for Sustainability (NELIS) and the global One Million Leaders initiative.


One 'O' Eight Knots

One ‘O’ Eight Knots specializes in handmade housewares that empower women by creating sustainable employment opportunities, building confidence, and increasing social and economic agency. Their Ahmedabad design studio and workshop provides training on knotting, stitching, weaving, and textile crafts. The women participate in the functioning of the workshop and learn about materials, costs, design methods, craftsmanship, and teamwork. Products include hand knotted table mats, runners, coasters, cushion covers, planters, candle holders, wind chimes, and bells. One ‘O’ Eight Knots uses natural and sustainably sourced raw materials and plastic free packaging. They operate as a social enterprise initiative of Happy Faces Foundation.


Onesh Natural

Onesh Agri is a Sri Lankan agricultural input supplier that is developing services for the organic agriculture sector under the Onesh Natural brand. They currently have drip irrigation systems, shade, netting and a limited range of untreated seed and organically raised seedlings. They are working to increase the availability of seed bred for organic conditions.


One Wirral

One Wirral collaborates across sectors and organizations to reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing for the people of Wirral. They coordinate health literacy and digital inclusion programs, community health checks, and cancer early detection programs. Their Cancer Prehabilitation and Diabetes Prehabilitation services help people with cancer or diabetes get physically and mentally fit before surgery or treatment, and their Bridging the Gap Together project helps people with long-term health conditions access health and wellbeing services and peer support groups. Their StaffBox software was developed in partnership with local primary care practices to create a more flexible and mobile workforce for primary care and support recruitment, training, staffing, human resources, and governance. One Wirral is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), an accredited Living Wage Employer, and a member of Social Value UK, Social Enterprise UK, and the Wirral Sector Leaders Network. They reinvest all surplus towards their mission.


Online High Street

Online High Street supports local economies in the United Kingdom by offering an online ordering and delivery service that empowers independent stores without compromising the environment, local community, or employee welfare. Residents are able to order their favorite items online from their local baker, butcher, greengrocer, convenience store, pharmacy, florist, delicatessen, wine shop, fish shop, cheesemonger, bookshop, and other retailers. Each shop packs its share of the customer’s order. Local riders and drivers collect from each store and deliver in one go. Online High Street uses recyclable packaging and promotional materials and provides zero-emission delivery either by e-cargo bike or electric van. They partner with local councils, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), food banks, charities, and other organizations in each of the areas where they operate.


Only Rescues

Only Rescues aims to make responsible adoption the preferred option for pet owners and is working to ensure that every dog and cat in the United Kingdom has a safe, loving forever home. They partner with animal rescue charities and responsible rehoming centers to provide a central platform that ethically matches adopters with rescue dogs and cats. Only Rescues does not work with breeders. They are a member of Social Enterprise UK and reinvest surplus towards their mission.
