They provide loan funding, programs, events, and other business support for social enterprises, charities, and community groups across Scotland. They also serve as a fund manager for social investment funds with specific social and environmental targets, like the Net Zero Transition Fund, and they mobilize and deploy funds to other responsible finance providers like Community Development Finance Initiatives (CDFIs). Social Investment Scotland demonstrates and promotes responsible business practices with a particular focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, climate action, and sustainable sourcing from social enterprises and local businesses. They are a registered charity, an accredited Living Wage Employer, and a member of Social Enterprise Scotland, Wellbeing Economy Alliance Scotland, and Responsible Finance. Social Investment Scotland reinvests all surplus towards their purpose.


Social Mission Canada

Social Mission Canada aims to elevate purpose-driven organizations by strengthening their business models to balance social value and long term financial sustainability. They focus on earned revenue strategies, performance reviews, market research analysis, product development, service management, process design, and pragmatic marketing. They also work with a network of partners to offer extended services based on organizational needs. Social Mission Canada donates a portion of all revenue to cancer research and services.


SocialPro

SocialPro helps construction project contractors and subcontractors in Australia achieve their social procurement and sustainability targets. Their cloud-based platform streamlines data collection and reporting and makes it easier to track social spend, local content, water, waste, fuels, materials usage, and other key metrics. SocialPro maintains a smart directory of certified and registered suppliers for social procurement and sustainability and facilitates collaboration and partnerships with social enterprises, Indigenous businesses, and other priority groups. They contribute at least 50 percent of their profits to social causes including addressing mental health concerns in the construction sector, engaging men and boys to combat violence against women, empowering First Nations people, and aiding veterans and their families. SocialPro is a Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise.


Social Sector Network

Social Sector Network supports social enterprises and sustainable development practitioners through training, consulting, and connecting. Their online social impact ecosystem provides an alternative to physical incubators and accelerators. Social Sector Network makes quality social entrepreneurship training and resources accessible to anyone with an internet connection and provides early-stage support to social enterprise founders and teams around the world. They offer free support services and mentoring to events and organizations in their local community.


Social Shifters

Social Shifters helps the next generation of leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs tackle the world's most pressing social and environmental issues in new ways. Their Community Learning Platform connects social shifters from around the world and provides free videos, tools, and guides on how to launch a project, campaign, or social business. Their Global Innovation Challenge is a digital incubator, mentorship, and awards program to accelerate ideas from young social innovators and entrepreneurs. Social Shifters works with mission-aligned partners and networks including SThree, Enactus, SDSN Youth, Global Changemakers, Catalyst 2030, and the Social Enterprise World Forum. They are registered as a not-for-profit organization and reinvest all surplus towards their mission.


Social Stories Club

Social Stories Club specializes in curated gift boxes, gift hampers, and co-branded corporate gifts that highlight and support social enterprises. The gifts come with story booklets so the recipient can learn more about the brands and their impact. Each product supports a cause, for example, empowering people with disabilities, reducing landfill waste, or providing an education to girls in need. Corporate partners have worked with Social Stories Club to create holiday, client and employee appreciation, team member onboarding, event invitee, and conference speaker gifts that build relationships and send a statement about their commitment to social impact and sustainability. The gifts are packed in biodegradable boxes or reusable hampers with filling sourced from sustainable timber forests. Social Stories Club is registered as a Community Interest Company and is a member of Social Enterprise Scotland and Social Enterprise UK.


Socialtours

Socialtours specializes in curated offbeat travel experiences in the Himalayan region. They were founded in 2002 with a commitment to "be sensitive to the environment, be sensitive to the culture, and contribute to the local economy." They offer experiences in multiple categories. Go Local is for half-day, day, and overnight programs around Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. Be Active includes experiences like trekking, rafting, mountain biking, and paddling. Be Immersed are programs that go deep into topics like yoga, shamanism, culinary skills, or agriculture. Be Involved includes service learning experiences that place students or professionals in communities. Go Broad covers multi-destination experiences in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, or India. Socialtours was the first tour operator in Asia to receive Travelife certification and has played a leadership role in developing responsible travel in Nepal. They spread the benefits of tourism by working through a network of partners, contributing ten percent of profits to vetted social projects, and contributing an additional ten percent to staff welfare.

Social Traders contributes to a more inclusive and equitable Australia by making buying from social enterprise the norm. Unlocking the power of social enterprise procurement creates positive impact through jobs, community services, and support for the most marginalized. Social Traders offers robust social enterprise certification, which gives businesses and government assurance that a social enterprise has been independently verified. This makes it easier for them to prioritize social enterprises and create positive impact through their spend. Certified social enterprises receive national recognition, access to resources, forums, workshops, training, and events, and referrals to business and government members. Social Traders is committed to inclusion and works with government and philanthropic partners to subsidize membership and certification costs for eligible social enterprises. They reinvest all profits to expand their social impact.


SocialVentures

SocialVentures serves as a primary network for social enterprise activity in central Ohio and advocates for, develops, and funds local not-for-profit and for-profit businesses that integrate social and environmental impact as a non-negotiable component of their business model. They raise awareness through public speaking, columns, blogs, social media, and an annual report on The State of Social Enterprise in Central Ohio and help social enterprises thrive through accelerators, workshops, training programs, mentoring, and consulting services. SocialVentures offers a social impact box, online marketplace, and business-to-business buying guide to make it easier for people to connect with, support, and source from local social enterprises. They manage Social Ventures Fund, a member-based impact investment fund for accredited individuals, companies, and foundations, and they run an investment account with Kiva Columbus. SocialVentures is registered as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.


Socko

Socko transforms yarn that is no longer serving a purpose into socks that can be worn for years. Their socks are designed and made in the United Kingdom from materials that would have otherwise gone to landfill, like repurposed merino wool, cotton offcuts, and plastic bottles, and are reinforced with Econyl, a regenerated nylon made from used fishing nets and other nylon waste, for added durability. Packaging is compostable, recycled, and recyclable. Socko works directly with British craftspeople and manufacturers and can ensure they are paid fairly for their skills. The socks are made by a fourth generation family business in Leicestershire. Each pair of socks comes with a free mending kit and darning instruction guide to encourage reinforcing or repairing to extend the active life of clothing. Socko also offers online content, courses, and books on how to transition to a sustainable wardrobe. They are part of East End Trades Guild, Make it British, and Fashion Revolution.

Sœur Boutique is a retail outlet on Cape Cod that specializes in ethically made and sourced women's clothing, accessories, and lifestyle products. They prioritize natural and environmentally responsible materials like linen, hemp, and organic cotton and independent clothing brands with a focus on social and environmental impact.


So Good Kombucha

So Good brews authentic, raw kombucha from ethically sourced organic and vegan ingredients. Their fermented beverages contain probiotics, vitamins, antioxidants, and enzymes and provide a healthy, natural alternative to conventional fizzy drinks made with artificial ingredients, sweeteners, and alcohol. They aim to provide training and meaningful work for refugees, asylum seekers, and other people from marginalized groups. So Good Kombucha sources from mission-aligned suppliers, uses plastic free packaging, and is working towards making all of their operations zero waste and carbon neutral. They offset carbon impact per employee through Ecologi and donate 10 percent of profits to local charities including Upbeat Communities and Derby City Mission.


Soilcane

Soilcane creates natural, tree-free paper products in order to reduce deforestation, soil pollution, air pollution, and water pollution. Their biodegradable packaging is made from invasive plants like water hyacinth and waste materials like sugarcane pulp. They offer printing and custom designs with a focus on product tags, packaging, ecommerce boxes, and shopping bags. Soilcane donates a portion of all sales to nonprofit organizations in their eco committee.


So Just Shop

So Just Shop aims to make ethical and sustainable products more accessible and raise 250,000 women and their families out of abject poverty. They offer a curated selection of jewelry, accessories, and homeware made from recycled, upcycled, ethical, and sustainable materials. All Just So Shop products are handcrafted by female artisans who are a legal working age, are paid a fair living wage, and have safe and healthy working conditions. So Just Shop prioritizes artisan groups from marginalized communities including women living in extreme poverty, women with disabilities, former sex workers, refugees, survivors of domestic abuse and trafficking, and women viewed as outcasts by society. They support these groups to share their stories, showcase and sell their products internationally, and build a better life for themselves and their families.


Solai Organic Farm

Solai Organic Farm prioritizes environmental health while producing food for local people. They cultivate legumes, dry zone vegetables, and fruit in eastern Sri Lanka. Solai Organic Farm produces compost and natural inputs from local ingredients.


Solana Beach Eco-Rotary Club

Solana Beach Eco-Rotary Club is a voluntary service organization that was started to inspire and empower their own community and other Rotary clubs around the world to take action and address environmental challenges. They organize speaker programs, field trips, and voluntary activities to educate the community about environmental challenges and solutions and promote sustainable living. Members actively participate in local and global environmental networks on issues like climate action, ecosystem restoration, and protection of natural open spaces. Solar Alberta works with Bullfrog Power to establish standards for ethical practices and consumer protection and offset employee energy use through verified carbon projects. They are a Buy Social Canada Certified Social Enterprise, Alberta Living Wage Network Certified, and a member of Calgary Climate Roundtable, Canadian Renewable Energy Association, Alberta Environmental Network, Energy Futures Lab, and Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance.

Good Market is a curated platform that brings together people creating a better world. All of the vendors on the site have been through an application and review process to ensure they meet Good Market standards and are good for people and good for the planet.


Sol Organica

Sol Organica offers regenerative organic tropical fruit products and helps break the cycle of poverty for smallholder farming families in Nicaragua. They specialize in organic pitaya, mango, banana, pineapple, and passion fruit purees, juices, individually quick frozen fruits, and solar-dried fruit snacks and powders with a focus on custom product development, traceability, logistics, warehousing, and quality assurance. Sol Organica is committed to farming methods that restore ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, build soil health, and empower farming communities. Their agricultural development arm, Burke Agro de Nicaragua, coordinates weekly agricultural workshops and farm visits, provides financial training, helps farmers and cooperatives open bank accounts, pays above-market prices, and creates job opportunities for single mothers in rural communities.
