Pebblechild

Pebble specializes in contemporary fair trade toys that are hand knit or crocheted by Hathay Bunano artisans in Bangladesh. Hathay Bunano, which means handmade in Bangla, is a not-for-profit social enterprise that was started in 2004 to create fairly paid, flexible employment opportunities for rural women in disadvantaged areas. Their toys, rattles, baby blankets, and hats meet international standards for child safety. Pebble offers a certified organic cotton range and ships in compostable packaging. Profits are used to support local communities, promote the fair trade movement, and expand the impact of Hathay Bunano. Pebble is a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization.


Pedal On

Pedal On provides safe, diverse, and inclusive spaces for people from marginalized communities to support emotional, social, and financial wellbeing. Their wellbeing and skill development center in Mehram Nagar, New Delhi serves underprivileged women and produces bags and housewares from upcycled materials. The bags provide an alternative to single-use plastic and help participating women achieve financial freedom and develop essential skill sets for future opportunities. Pedal On also offers resilience building exercises, art therapy, and other workshops to support holistic wellbeing.


Pedals

Pedals was started by a trio of friends to bring together the talents of Sri Lanka's centuries old handloom industry and the creative talent of today's millennials to create unique handmade footwear. Pedals operates according to "guilt-free garment" and "triple-bottom line" principles and prioritizes people and the planet. They contribute a portion of all profits to the Rotaract Club of Colombo Fort to assist underprivileged families, children, and elders in Colombo, Kaduwela, and Jaffna.


Peddlars Trails

Peddlar's Trails organizes responsible travel experiences that are healthy, fun, and environmentally friendly. They create opportunities for travelers to interact with the local community, learn about the Sri Lankan culture, and support local initiatives that are good for people and the planet. They specialize in programs for French speaking travelers.


Pedius

Pedius enables people who are deaf or hearing impaired to make private, real-time phone calls. The software is available for smartphones, tablets, and web browsers and uses advanced voice recognition technology to transcribe speech to text. Callers can choose whether to use their own voice or convert a written message into a natural sounding voice. The recipient's response instantly appears on the screen as written text. The software can also be used to subtitle meetings, conference calls, university lectures, training programs, conferences, and other events. Pedius offers special services to businesses that want to make their call centers accessible to deaf customers and improve workplace inclusion for deaf employees. A portion of profits is used to support community events including CineDeaf and Poetry and Visual Vernacular Contests produced by deaf people.


Peedie Pals

Peedie Pals started by offering reusable tableware and decorations for zero waste children's parties in Orkney, Scotland. Their collection of toys and gifts became so popular that they developed their own retail brand to encourage children to love nature, outside play, and looking after the world. Peedie means little or tiny in Orkney, and the Peedie Pals are six animal characters created by a local designer: Pebble Puffin, Sel Selkie, Odell Otter, Jenna-Bee, Primula Puffin, and Signy Shark. The Peedie Pals collection includes branded nature journals, nature treasure bags, litter picking sets, wildflower mixes, baking supplies, puzzles, activity kits, cards, and more. Their online store is hosted on a net zero website and includes books, toys, and gifts from other ethical, environmentally responsible, and fair trade brands. Peedie Pals ships in reused boxes, envelopes, and shipping materials to minimize waste. They donate directly to Orkney Seal Rescue and RePollinate and offer checkout donations to The Wave Project.


Peekoh

Peekoh specializes in small-batch, hand-blended teas sourced from fair trade and environmentally certified tea gardens. Most tea is stored in warehouses for months. Peekoh works directly with tea growers and purchases the day after harvest to ensure maximum health benefits. Peekoh is committed to natural, environmentally responsible products. They do not use any artificial oils in their flavored teas or any plastic in their packaging.


PEGGS

PEGGS creates hand-painted wooden peg dolls in Sri Lanka as an alternative to imported plastic toys. They use scrap wood collected from local furniture makers and child-safe, nontoxic paints. PEGGS donates a portion of all profits to support local children in need.


Pekada Heritage Collection

Pekada Heritage was started to preserve and showcase traditional Sri Lankan art styles with a particular focus on 17th century temple murals. Paintings are done on recycled wooden panels that are collected, repaired, and refinished. Pekada Heritage pays artisans above the normal rate and focuses on preserving traditional designs and techniques. Each piece comes with a lifetime warranty.


Pekerti Fair Trade

Pekerti Fair Trade was formed in 1975 to increase the income of marginalized rural producers in Indonesia through the development and sale of fair trade handicrafts. They provide design support, training, business services, financing, and market access for a network of fair trade producer groups throughout the country. Their training programs focus on the implementation of fair trade principles, particularly related to gender, health and safety in the workplace, and the use of safe, environmentally responsible materials. Pekerti provides a 50 percent advance payment before production begains. Producers can also access zero interest loans for production improvements through a revolving loan fund and low interest loans through the KOPERTI savings and credit cooperative. Other programs include accident insurance, scholarships for producers' children, and emergency aid and economic support for disaster survivors. Pekerti actively promotes the fair trade movement in Indonesia through training programs, media campaigns, and fair trade events. They are a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).


Pemindu Products

Pemindu Products produces traditional food and personal care products in Sooriyawewa, Sri Lanka to support local livelihoods and provide affordable natural alternatives to imported, highly processed products. They specialize in kurakkan millet flour, virgin coconut oil, and coconut hair oil made with neem, curry leaves, fenugreek, and other local ingredients. Pemindu Products sources from local home gardens and small-scale farmers. They recycle glass containers, provide refill options, and repurpose coconut waste as cow feed.


Pendi

Pendi offers interior design consultancy, product design services, and a curated collection of housewares and interior lighting. They specialize in creating unique contemporary pieces from sustainably sourced local materials including metalwork, woodwork, clay, wicker, reed, batik, and other textiles. Pendi supports a community of young, predominantly female, designers that work with artisans and craftspeople from all over Sri Lanka.


Penelope

Penelope creates durable fabric toys in Sri Lanka as a local, environmentally responsible alternative to imported plastic products. They offer washable playmats, sensory cubes, dolls, soft toys, games, activity packs, memory quilts, bags, and more. Penelope upcycles textile waste and repurposes offcuts. They provide work-from-home opportunities, training, and skill development for local women and support their journeys towards financial independence.

People Power Services helps disadvantaged African migrant communities integrate into Queensland's multicultural society. They provide work training and employment opportunities for refugees and migrants by offering residential and commercial cleaning services and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) caregiving services in Greater Brisbane. They also offer interpreter and cultural integration services, English language classes, youth programs, and events. People Power Services is registered as a not-for-profit organization and reinvests all surplus towards their mission. They are a Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise and a member of the Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC).


People's Bank

People's Bank is a Sri Lankan state-owned bank that was started in 1961 to provide affordable, accessible, and efficient financial services that improve quality of life, support enterprises of all sizes, and contribute to national development. Their field coordinators work with marginalized communities to increase financial literacy, encourage saving, and support livelihood development and self-sufficiency. They maintain a network of more than 700 branches to cover rural areas and offer simplified financial documents, flexible customized services, development loan schemes, and special financial facilities for the cooperative movement. People's Bank monitors waste and has reduction targets. They have updated their processes to minimize paper use and eliminate single-use plastic. Staff have reusable lunch boxes and water bottles. In Colombo, food waste goes to the municipal compost facility. Branch offices are encouraged to set up garden compost bins onsite. Remaining waste is sorted and recycled. People's Bank donates funds for renewable energy development, biodiversity conservation, and waste management projects and allocates 6.9 percent of profits to rural development, education, health care, and enterprise development.


People Unlimited

People Unlimited is transforming the way the world feels about mental health. They create bespoke learning packages that lay the foundations for a mentally healthy work culture.
